A few of the decisions I have agreed with. This one is egregiously bad. |
So they are getting due process? Wow, another correct judicial decision. |
These two were charged with visa issues and fraud including false documents and admitted to doing this purposefully, so I am not sure what you are getting at here. This wasn’t an accident - are you even following the news story? “Liu later admitted that he planned to use the fungus for research at a laboratory at the University of Michigan, where Jian worked.“ |
Temporary hold. The family is gone. National security issue. |
The point is, they're inserting themselves where they have no power. A district court judge ( and I think there are around 600 of them), cannot override the power of the executive branch because of their "feels". Plus, a judge is supposed to rule on points of law. Rulings mentioning idiocy like "this move would impact the livelihood of employees, so I'm staying the order" are just ridiculous. (I made that up, but you get the gist) ^^ A government agency or department has a mission. It's not there to employ people. If the mission is no longer deemed relevant, their livelihood does not matter. This is the kind of bunk we get from judges who think their orders apply to whole subjects they have zero jurisdiction over to begin with. |
That’s a case of a stopped clock being right twice a day. This is fascist BS. https://www.rawstory.com/amp/ice-2672309555-2672309555 These ICE scumbags are going to start getting their just desserts if the Nazis in charge don’t dial it way down. |
We don’t even need a reason. They overstayed their tourist visas. We don’t have to grant asylum. |
+1 As Americans, we don't assume we have the right to live in other countries. Yet we believe everyone has a right to live here. Stupid. |
