They seem to only be going after the immigrants who are easy to round up like those at construction job sites and in restaurants. Also, nabbing them at immigration court but I haven't seen any stories of ICE agents waiting outside of criminal court proceedings to grab up those people. No stories of ICE convoys rolling into known MS13 gang neighborhoods in CA, DC, MD, VA, etc.
Why is that? It's obvious that ICE is helping Trump pad his numbers, but also, it looks like they are doing it because the ICE agents are scared. The most some construction or restaurant workers will do is run. That'll give the agents some cardio for the day. But in the gang neighborhoods? The ones full of MS13 - those guys will fight back. ICE knows this and doesn't want to engage. So they'll pad their numbers with the low-hanging fruit. Trump can boast about how many illegals he deported, and then when an actual illegal criminal commits a crime, Trump can shrug his shoulders and say something like, "It's because Biden let so many in. Look how many I got rid of! And there are still so many bad guys to round up." |
Because they will be fired if they don't make a daily quota. Would you go looking for the felons and gang members hiding throughout the city and make low numbers or just roll through Home Depot and/or a couple restaurants to make quota? |
Because there are not really millions of illegals actually in the US and certainly not millions upon millions of gang members and rapists. So there is only low hanging fruit to go after. The right has been lying about this for years. |
You asked the question and then proceeded to answer it. |
The pro Palestinian terrorist just charged with murder in Colorado overstayed his visa twice and was granted a work permit by Biden. Border control is a national security issue. |
They have lists of those who have overstayed their visas. Why aren't they going after them? |
I can’t rescue you from bad logic, so it would be a waste of time to point out how stupid and inefficient this is, especially in light of how much we will lose in the process. |
And Trump dismantled the FBI counterterrorism unit that should have been tracking people like this. But yet, you blame Biden. |

The Washington Examiner (the conservative news outlet) reports that Stephen Miller screamed at ICE officials: "What do you mean you're going after criminals? Why aren't you at Home Depot? Why aren't you at 7-Eleven?" Kinda blows up the narrative that they care about public safety. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/white-house/3425297/stephen-miller-eviscerated-ice-officials-deportation-numbers/ GOP literally lies about everything. |
Because then they can't scream that it was the liberals' open border policy that caused everything. Two thirds of people with illegal status in this country are people who overstayed visas. The single country with the most illegal people here? Canada. And yet, all you ever here from the GOP is border, border, border. And not the northern one. |
*hear. Ugh. |
ICE intentionally avoids criminals because they need to keep Americans terrorized |
Suspect in antisemitic Boulder attack was in the US illegally, DHS says
Here's what we know • Colorado attack: A man used a flamethrower and Molotov cocktails to set people on fire Sunday at a Jewish community event in Boulder, Colorado, held in support of hostages in Gaza. He injured at least eight people ranging in age from 52 to 88 — including a Holocaust survivor — before being detained. • Suspect identified: The FBI identified the lone suspect as Mohamed Sabry Soliman and said he yelled “Free Palestine!” during the attack. He faces multiple felony charges and is expected to appear in court later this afternoon. • Suspect’s history: Soliman had applied for asylum in the US and was denied a visa to enter the country in 2005, sources told CNN. He was in the US illegally, a Homeland Security official said today. The suspect entered the US in August 2022 as a non-immigrant visitor and was granted a two-year work authorization in March 2023. That visa expired earlier this year. • Community outcry: Jewish leaders called for action against attacks on their community in the wake of rising antisemitic violence and threats. Less than two weeks ago, two Israeli Embassy staff members were shot dead in Washington, DC, by an attacker who yelled “Free Palestine!” while being arrested. https://www.cnn.com/us/li...k-06-01-25 Wish they would have gotten this guy before he took his homemade flame thrower and burned a bunch of innocent people. |
WSJ reported he applied for asylum in 2022 so he wouldn't have been picked up for being an overstay. |
