Did you wander into the wrong thread? |
They don't know why, but they stopped it. I find it somewhat suspicious that the NYT quickly buried the story once it was reported. It seems like they are hiding the fact that maybe the administration is on to something about not allowing random foreign nationals into our country, especially countries that support communism, and let loose a pandemic only 5 years ago. |
If it is so common, why did they need to smuggle it into the US? |
I'm sorry, but you don't SMUGGLE something into the US in labeled ziplock bags. That's what I'm saying. This was not a CCP smuggling job. The US nabbed them for nothing. IMO, the most they are guilty of is not obtaining the appropriate permit. You can get a permit from the CDC for fungai. But usually that's only needed if it's something rare that's not found in the US. |
And i'm telling you, this is already in the US and in our crops. That's what their research was about, you dingus. They are studying it to find better ways to eliminate it. This particular fungi decimates RICE crops. Don't you think the Chinese have a pretty big interest in defeating this fungus to protect their crops? It also can infect wheat, maize, barley, and oat. |
I have heard one or two extreme people say that all white people are racists. No one has ever said that anyone who isn't a Democrat is a J6er. What a ridiculous accusation. It is, however, true that the Trump administration is trying to officially change the narrative of what happened in the 2020 elections. Applicants to government jobs are being asked "who won the election." If your grandkids and mine start studying fiction and lies at school, YOU are responsible. You and every single person who voted for and supports this fascist administration. |
Their affiliation with the CCP and their actions don't pass the sniff test. "The complaint also alleges that Jian’s electronics contain information describing her membership in and loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party," a DOJ press release said. "It is further alleged that Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, works at a Chinese university where he conducts research on the same pathogen and that he first lied but then admitted to smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America -- through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport -- so that he could conduct research on it at the laboratory at the University of Michigan where his girlfriend, Jian, worked," according to the press release. "On July 27, 2024 Liu entered the United States and told authorities he was visiting his girlfriend and then returning to China to start his own laboratory in China. He allegedly said that he had no work materials, but upon a secondary screening of his luggage, authorities found tissues concealed a note in Chinese, a round piece of filter paper with a series of circles drawn on it, and four clear plastic baggies with small clumps of reddish plant material inside," the affidavit said. He told authorities he didn't know how the materials ended up in his bag and suggested someone placed them there without his knowledge, officials said, but after further questioning he admitted to placing them in the bag. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/2-chinese-nationals-charged-smuggling-potential-agroterrorism-fungus/story?id=122454213 |
Every time I come through customs, I see someone who packed food that’s not allowed because it can carry diseases that could harm our crops. That’s why they have the rule and that’s why they make you open your bag and confiscate it. |
They did not have to let him in to the country. They used a general parole, which is supposed to be used on an emergency, case by case basis. |
Federal judge has blocked Trump administration from deporting the Jew killer's family. |
Exactly. The Biden admin let a lot of terrorists in. |
Ludicrous. It will be overturned. Another rogue judge appointed by Biden. He did so much damage to this country. |
Are you talking about the Egyptian guy? He didn’t actually manage to kill anybody, although he tried to. |
Many Trump appointed judges have ruled against his administration in his second term. Are they “rogue” judges as well? |
