The base is a given. They're in the cult. The only thing that matters is undecided voters in swing states.

The race has fundamentally changed. It’s not just a handful of undecideds. It’s young people who were going to sit out and the double haters. I’ve literally spoken with several young people who went from not voting to volunteering for Harris. The Democratic electorate has grown overnight.

Young people won’t vote. They didn’t in 1972 and they won’t in 2024. Hopefully Harris has some other strategy in the works.

That was before Roe. Young people, especially women, have had their rights taken away. With a woman at the top of the ticket few are going to sit this election out.

You need to stop thinking that is the only reason people will vote for her. I just got back from a vacation with extended family. Politics was discussed quite a bit and there were people with extreme opinions on both sides sharing a house. But on the topic of abortion and women’s rights, three generations of women for different reasons said they had a very hard time supporting the Democratic Party right now. Most vocal was the elderly women present who often spoke about how conflicted they felt. They were pro women and pro women’s rights and wanted to make sure those rights were protected for their grandchildren. They also wanted those rights to extend to sports, and safety and schools. They thought the left has gone too far in many areas where the rights of women are NOT being protected, from immigration to gender issues. I’m not making any of this up and these conversations came up every single day.

Sure, there are millions of women who think like your family. But national polls show that about 55-58% of women support Harris and the democratic ticket while only 42-45% think like your family. 42-45% of the nearly 80M women who are registered to vote are a lot of votes. But still a lot less than the women who think the other way.

Trump is now using smoke machines at his rallies. He's an entertainer, not a serious politician.

Smoke machines hide crowd size. Or can distract from the #s he claims - that the bleachers were packed.

Right. Because people should be abortion only voters.

There is much more to women’s rights.

The post your responding to doesn't seem like something an authentic person would write but just right-wing talking points.

If this is true, your family needs to do the math. And read much better news. But I doubt it’s true. If they’re worried about safety in schools, getting gunned down has been a bigger problem for a longer time than a kid in their class being ambiguous about their gender. And they’re more likely to be hurt by a member or their own family or clergy than an immigrant. How do they feel about abused women being able to leave their marriages? Because Vance has told you what he thinks. This is a seriously simple decision.

I'm not calling you a liar, necessarily. But it really defies credibility that THREE generations of women sat around saying they were thinking of voting Trump this time because of their strong concerns about women's rights.

The GOP are the ones who torpedoed the Immigration bill.
W/R to gender issues, there is fewer than 1 athlete per state impacted by the whole tans/gender thing.

But sure if that is what turns the election, then we can live in Gilead and all wear red robes and die unnecessary deaths in the pregnancy process.

This. If they’re worried about safety in schools for women I’m sure they want to fully fund education then.
No one I know is worried about women in sports. I mean wtf?

Fifty percent of them did in 2020. For youth turnout, that’s amazing.
