Trump campaign death spiral

Let's hope this is a lasting trend.

Sorry not sorry.

The spotlight is on Trump’s pathetic incompetent weird self and he knows it. He has zero skills for managing his emotions so, like most bullys, he is falling apart in the face of someone that is challenging him and has his number.

I would call him a big baby but that is an insult to babies everywhere.

This is just one big collective experience of Schadenfreude for the two thirds of this country that are not actual members of the cult.

I’m so looking forward to Trump throwing JD under the bus.

Says Teump campaign is looking for a shake up. My bets are on him dropping Vance once Harris names her running mate.

Maybe he’ll ask Hayley. He can’t tap little Marco unless Marco moves to another state and resigns. Of course Tim Scott just got married to his fake fiancé so maybe he’ll get the call.

I don’t see any of my suggestions changing the race much. It’s now Harris’s to lose. I just spent a weekend knocking doors for her in NC. Donnie’s in trouble.

The base is a given. They're in the cult. The only thing that matters is undecided voters in swing states.

The race has fundamentally changed. It’s not just a handful of undecideds. It’s young people who were going to sit out and the double haters. I’ve literally spoken with several young people who went from not voting to volunteering for Harris. The Democratic electorate has grown overnight.

Young people won’t vote. They didn’t in 1972 and they won’t in 2024. Hopefully Harris has some other strategy in the works.

That was before Roe. Young people, especially women, have had their rights taken away. With a woman at the top of the ticket few are going to sit this election out.

I have 3 daughters ages 20-24. I realize this is anecdotal, but since others seem to know what this electorate thinks, I’ll say maybe one of mine would’ve voted for Biden, but the other 2 likely would’ve sat it out. Now all 3 are excited and motivated to vote.

You chose interesting years. In 1972, 55.4% of registered voters ages 18-29 vote. In fact, it was the highest turnout in the last 52 years. And in 2020, it finally rose back to 55%.

Based on voter registrations and voting in 2022 and 2023, since the fall of Roe v Wade, 18-29 year old voters have been registering and voting in record numbers to protect their rights and based on voter registrations this year, it looks like they may finally beat 1972 with turnout.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/984745/youth-voter-turnout-presidential-elections-us/

In 2022, nationwide, 27% of voters ages 18-29 came out to vote. The record in the years since 1964 when tracking started, was 28% in 2018, so this was the second highest total in the last 60 years.

https://circle.tufts.edu/2022-election-center

It is looking like a record year for under 30-year olds to come out and vote. And nationally, they trend 65-85% voting Democratic. Between Dobbs and voting for Harris over Trump, young people are inspired to vote Democratic. Another bit of bad news for Trump.

You need to stop thinking that is the only reason people will vote for her. I just got back from a vacation with extended family. Politics was discussed quite a bit and there were people with extreme opinions on both sides sharing a house. But on the topic of abortion and women’s rights, three generations of women for different reasons said they had a very hard time supporting the Democratic Party right now. Most vocal was the elderly women present who often spoke about how conflicted they felt. They were pro women and pro women’s rights and wanted to make sure those rights were protected for their grandchildren. They also wanted those rights to extend to sports, and safety and schools. They thought the left has gone too far in many areas where the rights of women are NOT being protected, from immigration to gender issues. I’m not making any of this up and these conversations came up every single day.
