But that highest level doesn’t manifest in the young ages anywhere. All quality youth academies train positional patterns of play as building blocks, they don’t just let them run around and ‘create’. My threshold in the US is much lower - technical competence, athletic iq and respect for the game. One can play soccer while having none of the above. But you know when you see a team that plays ‘better soccer’. That team deserves to win.[/quote]
