Single Issue Voter: Controlling The Borders

So what is the problem? You would be more upset if these criminals weren't seized, right?

Of course it is good they were seized.

A couple of points.....
Neither LA nor Michigan are nowhere near the border. These drugs made it into our country. You think this is all there is?

The amount that is being seized is a mere fraction of what is getting in undetected.

"In 2022, a record-setting 14,700 pounds of fentanyl shipments was seized by US Customs and Border Protection agents; this year alone, there’s already been 12,500 pounds snagged. But that’s still just a fraction of what enters the US."

Other than right to life/abortion issue is anyone else approaching the next presidential election as a single issue voter ?

If other than right to life/abortion, what is that issue ?

yes. Democrats have abandoned US workers to grovel for more cheap low wage workers. Until they go back to their roots and start supporting US workers first, I will vote someone else.

Well, if you look at today's job numbers and the job numbers since Biden took office, I think there is a pretty strong argument that the democrats are supporting US workers first. And this has been the case since"globalization" took root in the late 1980's.

Facts are important.

It is not conjecture.
Border agents testified to that. And, the record number of fentanyl poisoning supports it.

So OP, how do you feel about a governor who makes it acceptable for illegal underage migrants to come to the US to work the chicken farms?

California and Michigan are both border states. What are you talking about?

Los Angeles is over 125 miles from the Mexican border.
Van Buren County, Michigan where the fentanyl was seized is over 1500 miles from our southern border and 186 miles from our northern border (which, as of now, is not from where fentanyl is originating).

So, neither of these locations are border towns. The drugs seized had made it well into our country.

People just need to say no.

Personal responsibility, right?

They cannot do their jobs of patrolling the border when they are diverted to processing migrants, transporting migrants, and babysitting migrants.
In case you weren't aware..... far too many border agents have been pulled from their roles of protecting the border to do these things.

Now there is barely any tech job left on the market, and Biden seems to have done nothing other than:

Lower the bar for NIW and EB1 green card.
Encourage laid off aliens to stay at US as long as possible by providing one year EAD.
PP for H4 EAD.
EAD for frivolous and fraudulent asylum claims.
No scrutiny for H or L1 application.
Mass green card issuance from oversea embassies.

facts are indeed important

Why are you asking me ? Gov. Huckabee isn't a candidate for President.

It’s almost as if no amount of money or arrests can even dent the drug supply whatsoever.

It is not just about smuggling drugs. Cartels are engaging in human trafficking as well as bringing in a lot of undocumented Chinese workers.

Poorer school districts in smaller towns and cities do not have the resources to hire translators, handle dramatically larger class sizes, institute wrap-around social services, etc.

Honest yes/no question: Wouldn’t allowing more legal immigration undercut the ability of cartels to smuggle humans?

Then we should subsidize with federal funds like we already do for those exact same communities.
