Are all better in both prestige and academics.

IMO Tulane is behind even Miami (research) and SMU (prestige).

Do you need it to be?

Tulane is NYC UMC dual-income rich. SMU is Texas oil money prep school rich.

From a US prestige standpoint yes, I think this is accurate. However I think Emory moves to second globally so...

To be quite frank, none of these schools with the exception of Duke command any sort of global prestige.

They're all in the top 100. That's something.

Tulane is the GW of the South

No, they are in the American Athletic Conference. Won the conference in football this year as well.

Hell no.
Tulane and Baylor are not comparable.
Look at the acceptance rates and the qualifications of the students. It's not close.

LOL at the idea that "top 100" means absolutely anything in the sense of "global prestige". These are middling schools, at best.

Top 100 out of over 23k universities in the world. You're silly and I hope you went to HYP to be so pompous.

The only top 100 globally are Duke, UNC, Emory, and Vandy in that order.

This conversation is so outdated. Students can get a great education at a lot of different colleges that don’t have “brand” names.

While the Ivy League attracts what is perceived as elite students and athletes, several of the schools also have notoriously bad mental health services and it’s a grind. How can that be helping kids build their best selves?

Look at schools that are a best fit. Please can we stop feeding this toxic college system.
