Is Tulane the Ivy League of the South?

Anonymous
For years, there was something going on in USNWR to have it slowly climbing into the Top 40. It's a reasonable fine school, but no serious student wants to go there. Period.

It's current ranking is much more reflective of where it sits academically and among elite employers and graduate schools.

But hey, they really know how to party.

It certainly is on the same level as some of the Ivy (like Cornell for ex)

For elite schools in the South, it's Duke, Vanderbilt, and Rice.

That's it.

You can totally get a great education at Georgia Tech, Emory, and UT Austin.

There is no Tulane in this. It's not comparable

Way to sneak in UT Austin. Emory belongs in the top group.
