Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
That actually seems reasonable. |
What is moral turpitude? |
Moral turpitude is morally yucky, vile stuff: fraud or theft (including passing counterfeit money and shoplifting) or crimes such as manslaughter or murder, kidnapping, etc. |
Getting a DUI is not a valid reason to lose their license. Murder, kidnapping, rape - all yes; DUI - not so much. |
| Any updates? |
| He's not back. |
Has he been fired or resigned? |
| When are we getting a real principal? We were supposed to get an update after everything got sorted out legally. We have heard nothing. |
Assistant princepal leaving. |
Sadly yes. Assistant principals have to work at two different schools before they can become a principal. That’s most likely the reason he is leaving. |
| Too bad. Drinking is an easy way to screw up your life, or someone else's. He's lucky nothing worse happened. |
| We are still waiting for any update. The only communication from the higher ups was way back in September when our principal first got arrested. We were told we would be updated as more information became available. Not one email/update was sent, even after the court case results were available back in December 2022. The Navy principal was convicted of DUI but the felony charges were thrown out. That information wasn’t provided, but many of us looked it up. The entire school year has come and gone and yet no committee was ever formed to help find a new principal. Usually the search for a new principal requires a committee to be formed consisting of various community members that interview candidates and provide input (ie. Staff members, parents, AP). Please explain why the Navy community was denied this opportunity. Please explain why the Navy community was not provided one update via email during the entire school year. Please explain why the interim principal at Navy never reached out to the community via email to introduce himself. Now the beloved AP is leaving. What a sh*t show. |
|
We have started emailing and calling the superintendent, school board members etc to demand answers. It is absolutely unacceptable that FCPS has allowed this to go on for this long without any kind of updates to the community. The AP isn't the only person leaving - there are at least 5 other teaching positions that aren't filled and there are likely to be a few more leaving as well.
Complete failure on the part of the FCPS Administration. |
Have you considered contacting your school's Regional Principal or Executive Principal? |
| Sorry Regional Superintendent or Executive Principal? |
