22033 is Fairfax/Navy. That one road that is split between Lee's Corner and Crossfield also has 22033--but there are not that many homes there to contribute that many signatures, I don't think. Navy friends may be helping with the petition.
20191 is Reston. Fox Mill Woods. But, they are not at Oakton.

The real question is: where do the other 20% of signatures come from? That may be Grandma and Grandpa.

20191 may be at SL, but they would be impacted by a move to Western too.

The point is that Fox Mill families are signing the petition because they'd rather be at Western. Navy families are signing because they see the writing on the wall. If Oakton goes significantly over capacity, they're next in line to get kicked out.

Fox Mill Woods is not Fox Mill elementary. There are Crossfield kids in Fox Mill Woods that go to South Lakes.

We are not talking about Fox Mill Woods, sweetie, we are talking about Fox Mill Elementary. Families from Fox Mill Elementary and Estates are signing the petition to keep Crossfield at Oakton because THEY (fox mill) wants to go to Oakton.

Maybe but I don’t know of anyone who has done that. I have not heard anyone discussing Crossfield or any other school outside of commenting that they don’t know people opting in from Crossfield or Oak Hill. That doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened but if it is I would think that the parents doing it would have advertised the petition to the FMES families that want to move to Western. For the most part, the people I know are focused on their kids and not worrying about the drama at Crossfield.

Are you capable of having a conversation in a polite manner or do you really think that being condescending and rude to everyone somehow makes you look stronger? Just curious.

I’ve noticed the pro-Western Crossfield moms post some very condescedning posts.

They are worse than the RIO moms.

NO! The other way around.

At least half of the people here who want to move Crossfield to Western purely want to move Crossfield out of Oakton.

When a developer comes to your town. You all will be next in line.

No. Some of us just like to look at things and figure out what would work best.

Look at those four options given objectively:

Relief for overcrowding and transportation issues.

Pretty simple.

Option A--plus all of Floris to eliminate the split feeder there.

Pro Western Franklin Young kids dad, as your kids are still young, they will not attend high school for at least another 7 or 8 years. Wait for 5 years for the next boundary review to move your young kids to Western. Let the older kids go to Oakton in the next 5 years first.

After 5 years, you will have even more time to post nonstop here.

Who is this in response to? Also, Western will be full by then.

And Crossfield families want to move to Franklin so that they can attend the same HS with other Franklin kids.

I am SO MAD about this proposal. I want my younger kids to go to Oakton but I absolutely do NOT want them to go to Franklin. We LOVE Carson, it's a great school. My kids have been in Honors in Carson and it is a great school with great teachers (and the after school program is wonderful). It is INFURIATING to me that people who have kids in AAP came up with this brilliant idea to move the rest of our kids to Franklin while their AAP kids get to stay at Carson. It's incredibly selfish and self serving and I am really mad about it.

I disagree. You’re replying to a post in which no one’s intelligence or “ability to read a map” was questioned. Only, pro Western Crossfield has made such statements. I’m sure it’s a small number and most are posting respectfully but after the last few days it’s going to be difficult to shake the connection.

The move to Franklin although unlikely would provide the best opportunity for Crossfield to stay zoned to Oakton post this boundary review as they would be among Navy and Waples Mill (the Oakton community). Right now, as previously covered in this thread there are few objective reasons to keep Crossfield zoned to Oakton especially as most from Carson will be headed to Western.

Only the Crossfield community sees that so we’ll take the word of those calling us idiots…I’ve never been demeaned by any RIO moms at the community meetings. Look I agree, they are annoying but they haven’t been rude.
