No, don't do that.

Listen to what people are saying. You don't need to push harder and go farther left. You need to listen.

+1

To what? The misinformation that you have been pushing? No thanks.

You can keep stomping your feet and calling all of these issues "misinformation" - but the reality is you just don't agree. It's a lazy way of discrediting others. Just say you don't agree. There is no misinformation, and plenty of posts have provided links and evidence. You simply refuse to read and/or listen. Oh well - your loss, not ours.

No. She only got 19,000 votes. He needed 120,000. I wish he had not conceded.

I just saw RWNJ fake news up in arms saying Fairfax is recounting. I've seen it no other place. I think it was preprogramed by a bot to post now.

60% of Virginians are racist Trumpsters.

So I guess say goodbye to choice, Gay marriage and legalized weed which would have brought in some tax money. What's his plan to replace grocery tax?

Apparently a lot of states don’t have a grocery tax.

Yes, I don’t like Youngkin but I actually agree that groceries shouldn’t be taxed. But you still need a plan to replace that revenue. States can’t run deficits.

If he increases something else (income tax?), I'm fine with repealing the grocery tax. I grew up in a state without a grocery tax and I'm still sometimes surprised by it. Can a Republican do that though, increase a tax?

It’s kind of funny how when Democrats start talking about the nuts and bolts of governance, Republicans try to distract by talking about herpes.

Make no mistake about it: This election is all about defeating CRR. Next up is the trans agenda.

Parents have had enough

The politicians and media (MSNBC, CNN, WAPO, etc) who keep screaming that CRT is not being taught, are not doing themselves any favor. It is well documented on State Dept of Ed website and in county training materials. Examples after examples are given on conservative websites. People see these and know that it is being taught.

Does a first grade teacher stand up and say, "Kids, we are going to talk about Critical Race Theory today." Of course not. But, when she reads story books that illustrate it, we have evidence.

But, the Dems didn't listen and stuck with their storyboard.

UGH. i get that many dems are underwhelmed by Biden. I'm one of them. But, jesus, REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS LIKE A YEAR AGO??? How can you not get out and vote, or worse, choose Youngkin? He's terrible for VA, for democracy and for the country. Thanks, Virginia - whether intentionally or through negelct, you've collectively given a monster a national platform. Sigh.

It’s a wrap. Time to call it.

Can he stop localities from having these obnoxious meal taxes?

Too many fools willing to believe lies.

And parents were very angry about Covid school closures by Dem school boards.

It was an appropriate response to close schools. It’s a shame how that was distorted.

Explain to me why it was unsafe for public school students to attend school but safe for private school kids? Or why schools closed when spread was practically non existent and reopened again in winter 2021 when covid cases in our area were peaking? How was any of that appropriate? Can you really not understand why parents are angry?

I have a kid in public and a kid in private.

At the private they mandated a lot - testing, masking, no traveling/sports, etc. It was easy to control the families. They also have smaller classes and more space - including outdoor.

A broken clock is right 2x a day. I haven’t followed Youngkin closely - I voted McAuliffe.

The most feasible way to make up the revenue would be to increase the general sales tax. That would really piss off military members in the state, though. They don’t pay grocery tax at commissary so they wouldn’t see the benefit of eliminating it, but would get hit everywhere else by the increased sales tax.

Can he let localities have another vote for a meals tax? I'll vote Yes.

Please?

People calling Youngkin a monster and engaging in hysteria over a republican winning are part of the problem. No one is going to take Democrats seriously if they're constantly screaming about how every single Republican voter or candidate is a traitor or racist or anti-woman.
