No. She only got 19,000 votes. He needed 120,000. I wish he had not conceded.

I just saw RWNJ fake news up in arms saying Fairfax is recounting. I've seen it no other place. I think it was preprogramed by a bot to post now.

60% of Virginians are racist Trumpsters.

So I guess say goodbye to choice, Gay marriage and legalized weed which would have brought in some tax money. What's his plan to replace grocery tax?

Apparently a lot of states don’t have a grocery tax.

His plan to replace grocery tax is to use federal aid money and the state's surplus.

"Remember, there's been plenty of money pushed into Virginia as a result from help from the federal government and these big surplus that we're running, so we're going to have plenty of money to fund the largest education budget in the history of Virginia."

Nothing that the Youngkin supporters think it will.

So Youngkin isn’t going to personally invite my mediocre kid to attend TJ?

Wait, what?! That’s why I voted for him!

DP. I would bet money the grocery tax stays in place. We still have a car tax, don’t we?

The question is, will Youngkin take this gig seriously or is it just a way to pass the time, for him? Will he work for Virginia or does he have national aspirations now?

Does he understand the point of taxes? Does he care?

I don’t think he understand them given that at one point he campaigned on eliminating the state income tax. Fool.

Youngkin wasn’t the one running a national campaign. McAuliffe was.

He promised to drop the gas tax on day one and I believe him.

No, don't do that.

Listen to what people are saying. You don't need to push harder and go farther left. You need to listen.

+1

To what? The misinformation that you have been pushing? No thanks.

Does he know the federal aid money isn’t permanent?

It was a stupid decision to delay reporting. This will only incite angry people. If the results flip as a result, it will certainly look suspicious. IMO they are negligent for not doing everything to make sure EV results were made public tonight.

There were those ballot applications that were accepted without SSNs. I wonder if the plan was to ask for the applications to be corrected, the same way they are asking ballots without a witness signature to be corrected. It seems reasonable -- and will take a couple days. They were probably hoping it wouldn't matter.

^^^ Maybe they thought the timing didn't matter. Mail-in ballots are counted late, after the official count. Maybe they thought this would be similar.

Maybe it will be.

No, absentee ballots are now processed early so they can be counted as soon as polls closed. https://www.google.com/amp/s/wjla.com/amp/news/elections/early-absentee-voting-results-will-now-be-released-first-on-va-election-day-heres-why

He's clueless, yes, but he can learn. If he wants to. I wonder if he will.

Nope - nor mine. Nor should any mediocre kid be invited to attend TJ.

Wait, so on “day 1” we will get a crt ban, no gas tax and changes to election law?

What new federal aid money does Youngkin think is coming? All of the tax cuts Youngkin has proposed would wildly exceed the budget surplus. There’s no way he can keep those promises and his promise to increase education funding.

Drop taxes? Why? Does he know anything about economics?

Does he know that states, unlike the federal government, have to balance their books?

Youngkin won by echoing Trump’s election lies by pushing for election “integrity” laws and spreading Rufo’s strategy of the crt bogeyman. Dems just need to find lies and conspiracies that anger people to win.

I guess so. Most Ds suck at campaigning but do well governing. Opposite for Rs.
