But you still need a plan to replace that revenue. States can’t run deficits.[/quote] The most feasible way to make up the revenue would be to increase the general sales tax. That would really piss off military members in the state, though. They don’t pay grocery tax at commissary so they wouldn’t see the benefit of eliminating it, but would get hit everywhere else by the increased sales tax.[/quote]
