Don’t look now, but Herring has cut into the putative Republican winner’s lead and the lead stands at around 25,000-plus. With four precincts left (and provisional ballots to. count, maybe?) this could — I emphasize could — reach the margin where the state would have to pay for a requested recount. Even if that happens, it’s a very tough hill to climb. I get that. Two Assembly races are going to recounts. So the GOP there could end up 52-48 or 50-50. I wish these races would not be called until every single vote is counted. Rant over.
