Johnny Depp trial in Fairfax County

Heard is not the one who initiated the lawsuit, and is not the one who demanded that cameras be allowed in the courtroom. There is someone in that room who wants to get another 15 minutes out of this, but it’s definitely not Heard.

If Johnny Depp has such a huge fan base, it seems like he could get funding for some independent films, and his fans would no doubt pay to see the movie. Therefore he does not need Disney or WB to hire him, if they think he's tarnished.

+1. But the younger generation does not seem as into movies, as compared to shorter shows. I think it's the lack of attention span among Gen Z. Maybe he could do a TV series?

Gen Z watches plenty of movies, but they’re not interested in washed-up has-beens with obviously fake accents.

+1. It's bizarre how they ignore anything bad about him.

NP. Not just bizarre but deeply disturbing! They are ripping apart a woman for what? For not taking it and being perfect little housefrau but standing up for herself when she could? This is such a disturbing reflection of our society that truly, truly shows how we women are treated like objects and have not made much progress when it comes to out rights. Add the abortion laws and we are basically chattel in 2022.

What is disturbing is the fact that you blindly assume that any time she attacked or hit him it was merely in defense when all of her words and actions say otherwise.

Oh give me a break, you narcissist! JD has always been violent, and still is violent. She just dared to hit back.

She is the kind of person who:

Lies under oath, repeatedly (and this is proven at this point).

Spits at people (not her husband) who anger her.

Defecates in someone’s bed.

We all know the word DCUM reserves for people like her. Make that ‘T’ a capital.

Yes, she just called paparazzi to document everything else up to this point (TRO filing, divorce filing, etc) up until this point. So happy that TMZ employee exposed that nonsense. Can’t really blame Johnny at this point for wanting cameras in the courtroom so that things can’t be twisted by AH AGAIN.

Oh look, our resident fangirl had arrived so now we’re getting a flurry of pro-Depp posts.

Not pro-Depp, just anti-Amber which isn’t hard to be. She gives us so much material to work with. What a vile woman. Scary that she is a mother.

Ok, Elaine.

Pretty sure she will strike again, eventually.

+1

I automatically supported Amber when I first learned of the allegations. Slowly but steadily, the footage and revelations of the way this woman behaves and communicates with family, friends, and staff has worn me down. She IS vile.

Depp is also vile. His out-of-control benders and apparent amusement at his own utter lack of dignity is gross. And I think the specialist who explained the cognitive effects of long-term alcohol use is right on Depp’s case. He’s a mildly brain-damaged old drunk who has surrounded himself with supporters so that he an ignore the fact his looks and talent are long gone.

They are both horrible people. I believe that both of them were abusive to the other. And this trial is a massive waste of time and money. There are plenty of poor women and children who are being abused and can’t afford resources, and our society is happy to look the other way, but the entire world tunes in to watch the Amber and Johnny Freakshow circus.

I think that is probably right, except that his movie choices (other than Pirates) don't really appeal to his fan base and haven't been very good (e.g., Mortdecai, The Lone Ranger, Tusk, Transcendence, The Professor, etc.)

Yup and this gem:

Rottenborn reads a Depp text message: “If you want to be with a woman sexually then she is rightfully yours.
Depp: That’s ludicrous
Rottenborn reads another: I need, I want, I take.
Depp: Equally ludicrous.
He’s then shown a text message sent to his personal assistant. Depp claims he didn’t write it and accused Ben Rottenborn of writing it the night before. Rottenborn laughs and assures him that he did not write the text last night since it had long been admitted as evidence.

Is that in the video pp posted from yesterday? Do you know the time stamp? I made it about 18 minutes before I couldn’t deal with his garbage responses anymore.

Yes the video is on page 170 post 19:34. Start at 18:10 in video for the text messages exchange. Start at 3:10 for the black eye he had in Bangkok before the alleged train incident claiming Amber punched him on the train. 4 photos shown to Depp that his black eye existed prior to train claim. He of course argued about lighting and photoshopped hacks.

+1 and he’s not remotely disciplined enough for a prestige tv series.

I think the cameras prevent people being able to twist what happens. Seems smart in this case.

JD is already famous, so he would not need “15 min” of fame.
