Another +1.

They are both trash. Read the perspective on a primarily Black message board.

Yes Lively triggers most black people. She feels like a Carolyn Bryant. Watching people defend her and jump through mental gymnastics to explain why she and her husband should be able to label this man a predator for saying “I like your outfit” triggers a certain ptsd. And to the extent it’s political at all, it’s only in that it shows cracks in the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is a big tent and there’s an ocean between the average black person (almost all of whom are democrats) and anyone supporting lively in the name of feminism (also democrats).

He didn't compliment her outfit. She was wearing a coat, bent down to pick something up and it opened to where her cleavage was exposed, then he said he liked her outfit while gesturing at his chest. He's a creep.

At least he doesn’t send sexually explicit texts to his opposite sex castmates like Blake. She’s a sex pest. Plus she harassed the crew by going on and on to them about his sexy her boots were. So creepy.

She was literally explaining why her feet hurt and she needed a chair.

Different poster, but I watched the video with my own eyes. I was humiliated for her. That’s not what she literally did it all. I could see her whole chest almost to her nipples, and she was begging the crew to pay attention to her. It was very uncomfortable. She seems mentally unwell.

You're insane. Truly.

Hundreds of people commented the exact same thing so I’m clearly not the only one.

I truly can’t believe anyone would defend this. This is not a normal woman who was tethered to reality - we all can see it.

Well you can, dear. The rest of us see a woman in painful boots asking for a chair.

The rest of us? Like a multiple personality thing?
Anyone think a triggered someone is trying to get the thread shut down?

“The reason this shoe is so sexy . . ,” literally a direct quote as she sits on the ground and bends over the boots wearing a very low cut dress. I guess she didn’t actually wear a coat to cover herself up all of the time when on set. Just another Lively lie.

She was not in costume during that coat incident, but seems to be in costume in the shoe video

So no one was leering at her on set when she was in a very revealing dress only when she was covered up by a coat?

And who was responsible for choosing the “sexy” boots and revealing dress for Lily to wear anyway?

And by “incident” you mean him saying “I like your outfit” lol. Lively supporters are wild. If in her sick mind she believes he only said that b/c her top was low cut, perhaps she should both seek help and stick to turtle necks.

He was gesturing to his chest, what else would it mean?

He didn't say "I like your outfit." He said "sexy". And Jamey Heath really did walk in on her undressed, against her objections, and refuse to leave or turn away. And Baldoni and Heath really did pressure her to do the birth scene without a hospital gown. And Baldoni really did talk about violating consent with women before when he was with Blake in a car. Does this add up to sexual harassment? I'm honestly not sure. I think it's obnoxious, inappropriate behavior. It might not fit the legal definition of sexual harassment. But she certainly had a right to complain about it, and to ask for improved working conditions, and to not be punished for those complaints/requests via a PR campaign against her when the movie came out.

I understand the arguments that Blake doesn't have a strong legal case. I think I might agree.

I will never understand people who claim Baldoni's and Heath's behavior was a-ok and that they are the real victims here. So baffling to me. These guys sounds awful.

Bolded is two different incidents. I described the outfit one upthread, when her coat popped open.

The one where he said Lively looked hot, and sexy, was in costume wearing her onesie with a lace bra. And a separate incident where he called Slate sexy in costume in leather pants. Both actresses felt he was referring to them personally.

Just trying to avoid misinformation.

Considering we have video footage of her blatantly lying, I am just not convinced any of this stuff was said or was said in the context.

If he did call her sexy in a movie where she has a ton of texts and now videos talking about her sexy outfits… I just don’t get why that makes them awful. It’s just a word.

It’s clear she should have not signed onto to do this movie where Sony was pushing for an R rating and for them “to bring the heat,” but that doesn’t make Justin and Jamey bad people.

Seriously if we are like almost 200 pages into this thread and we are still debating whether or not they should’ve used the word sexy it’s over. This is all they have and it’s really not that much. It’s certainly not worth ruining her and her husband’s careers and losing a best friend over.

And the rest of us will enjoy the fact that, aside from a few misguided women who thinks being a feminist means blindly supporting all when, the public has turned on Blake lively and she’ll never work again in Hollywood.

Really? She seems to have a Lionsgate film in the works.

LOL no. This was a blatant PR move. She is producing this film and there are no others attached except I think a writer.

Go to her IMDB. She has two other movies attached, but they are clearly not being made. One has not been updated since May 2017 when her casting was announced. She has probably aged out of that role. The other has not been updated since August 2020.

Movies get announced all the time but very few get made.

Interestingly enough, a movie with this exact same plot is coming out this weekend starring Rachel McAdams called Send Help. Blake’s is not even remotely an original idea and it likely wont be made.

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to compete late with a Sam Raimi directed thriller starring Rachel McAcams. Send Help looks good and McAdams always succeeds in her roles.

Thanks to those who posted that video of the shoes and bone on wood thing. My takeaway is that Lively felt insecure and needed the crew to flatter her and respond to her sexually, affirm that she’s cute and pretty and hot and laugh at her little cutesy comments and all that. But the vibe wasn’t there and she knew it, that people might think less “she’s a smoke show” and instead think “she’s fng annoying.” It’s palpable and I feel sorry for her. Awkward.

At her deposition, she changed it to “I like your outfit.” She also said something to the effect that Health wasn’t looking at her in a harassing way, it came up in oral argument. Blake bots seem completely out of touch with documents and case developments. And yes, he talked about nonconsexual sex because they were making a movie about domestic violence. Liman appreciated nearly every allegation of sexual harassment related to discussions or scenes from the movie they were making, might be time for you to as well.

Yes it was “I like your outfit”. PP is confused. The rest of it, that he was only saying it b/c it was low cut, is projection from Blake. And the way she lies, I’d take it with a huge grain of salt. Remember “you smell so good”. Blake has a way of twisting things just enough. Same in the onesie. There’s a video. Justin was trying to direct her but she wanted to be the director so wouldn’t listen. She had a coat on over the onesie. He wanted her to take it off, saying “it’s hot” as in hot in here. When she didn’t respond to that, he said it would be sexy, again an attempt to get her to take the coat off.

Your comment that you agree Blake doesn’t have a strong case but don’t see baldoni and heart as victims are imo contradictory. Not liking someone is not a reason to accuse them of SH. It’s a very serious and career ending allegation. She is being intentionally malicious. If Blake really thought after seeing Abel’s text that they had smeared her, she could have sued them just for retaliation and frames the NYT article differently. There’s no there there on the SH and I’m quite sure if you ask JB his biggest thing is clearing his name that he’s not a predator. They went too far here and her lawyers have truly done her a disservice.

I still think that sexual harassment was chosen because it would allow Hoover to recover rights to the sequel and sell to Blake/Ryan.
