MAGA teen bused in from a Catholic school harasses Indigenous People's marcher. Vile.

"I do not understand how liberal parents can indulge in dark desires about how a male minor wearing a MAGA hat is "punchable" and fantasizing about assault, but claiming this would be justified because "he was asking for it", and "somebody needs to teach him a lesson".
This is logically equal to those adults finding that a female minor wearing a short skirt is "f-ck-bl-" and fantasizing about assault, but claiming this would be justified because "she was asking for it", and "somebody needs to teach her a lesson". "

This is crazy and disturbing on several levels. The female equivalent to a young man wearing a MAGA hat is a young woman wearing a MAGA hat. Not sure how your sick mind made the leap to something sexual involving young women and rape.

But you also seem to be trying to gloss over the fact that a young White man wearing a MAGA hat signals something different than a young White woman wearing one. As a physically small brown woman, that 15-yr-old boy and his classmates are a physical threat to me and could easily hurt me or my child if they felt like it. Moreover, the look on their faces matched those of the young White men who kicked, hit, and spat upon people who looked like me in the 1960s when the darker skinned folks dared to demand that they be treated like humans.

I don't think anyone should be punching anyone else. But I can easily see why those of us whose people have been on the receiving end of violence motivated by racism would have a visceral reaction to his taunting smirk.

PP is just calling a spade a spade. The person to whom pp was replying does seem on the edge.

Nah - pretty sure that was drunk/high rambling...

And, thanks for opening a door on that topic.

Since Nathan Phillips spoke at a "Hemp & Cannabis Education /THC-Conference" AND was involved in "Native Youth Alliance Outreach", just how much "Cannabis Education" and "Youth Outreach" had been going on with the drummers prior to the confrontation?

And yes, I can imagine Sandman smirking because he's thinking "this IS the old-stoner-Indian-dude from the DJ Skrillex video...".

You are sure obsessed with him for some unknown reason. Reminds me of your HRC obsession. Will you be talking about Phillips two years from now?

I'm sorry, you have me confused with somebody who knows what the heck you're talking about.

-PS- Eh, in hindsight, that was a bit rude.

I don't know what you're point is, because you're talking at the wrong person, there, that's less rude.

I can make an assumption that if you don't have a good idea of who you're talking to, you probably don't have a good point anyway. Hmm, that's the appropriate level of rudeness.

Statement from L Lin Wood, Sandmann's attorney.

In part:

In the coming weeks, we will be carefully reviewing all of the false accusations and threats made against Nick. We fully expect that a multitude of civil lawsuits will be filed and aggressively pursued. We recognize that justice for Nick will not be achieved quickly, but we are dedicated to achieving it for this young man regardless of time or expense.

At this time, Nick, his family and their lawyers will not be engaging in media interviews. There is work to be done. If any member of the public has information, they believe is helpful to Nick, that information can be communicated to us by email to supportnick@linwoodlaw.com.

"Agree. And what scares me is that hateful liberals will regain full power. They will relegate Republicans to a status similar to that of Jews in the run-up years to Nazi Germany."

Right. Because that's how Dems have behaved at other times when they've held both chambers of Congress and the White House. Contrast what actually happened when Dems had a trifecta with the hideous racism and general bigotry pushed by the Republicans over the past two years. Just because Rs overreached and believed they had a mandate to trample all over gay folks, brown folks, immigrants, people with mortgages in high-cost non-Trump states, the disabled, women, and so on doesn't mean that Dems would abuse their power in a similar manner. The past two years were unprecedented, and I've seen no indication that Dems want to see a repeat of that approach to governing.

Ok, a boy wearing a MAGA hat IS the logical equivalent to a girl wearing a MAGA hat.

Um, ok, a boy wearing a MAGA hat is NOT the equivilent of a girl wearing a MAGA hat.
First you say, it's obvious that a boy MAGA and girl MAGA are the same, next sentence you're saying they obviously are NOT the same.
Yes, this is crazy and disturbing on many levels.
I wasn't glossing anything over, I was tring to be being consistent for more than two sentences in a row.

I'm sure that what you're trying to say is somehow important, but it can't be obvious that boy MAGA and girl MAGA are both obviously the same AND obviously different at the same time, who do you think you are, Erwin Schrodinger?

Eh, you could take him. Easily.
Look at that infamous "blackout" BB photo, this kid is track-team skinny, the black kids bicepts are bigger than this kids thighs.
Proper skinny, as in the school put mesh drains in the showers to keep them from going down the plug hole.

Sorry to be splitting hairs (heirs?) here, but I can't help but notice, "THOSE" are white men, "THEY" are "the dark skinned folks" and you're
talking like you're not part of either group. I sense some tension and conflict about lighter skinned "people who looked like me" who didn't fit into either group, and therefore were judged harshly by both sides?

Understood. This sounds paradoxical, but while I feel empathy for you, I don't think that rises to the level I'm thinking of.
Sorry, I have an abnormally high stamdard about this.

I have family members who saw parents rounded up by angry young men in Toyota trucks, young men who marched into your home with
AK-47s, picked out people who were the wrong race, and drove off with them.

So, let's just say that my I'm "jaded" to claims about the horrible height of racism in the US is proved when a white kid stands still and smirks.

Hold on. On second read, that's just silly.

That 15-year-old boy didn't budge; how is he a physical threat, unless YOU TRIP OVER HIM?
Are traffic bollards, fire plugs, walls, trees and other objects that don't move "a physical threat" to you?

You make it sound like you're in a Monty Python Skit, being harassed by vicious gangs of keep left signs

Voice Over: This is a frightened city. Over these houses, over these streets hangs a pall of fear. Fear of a new kind of violence which is terrorizing the city. Yes, gangs of old ladies attacking defenseless, fit young men.

But, let's be realistic. This is a 15-year-old Catholic kid, who (eek) smirks. (Yes, there is that "it's not a smile" yet "it's not a grin" make up your damn mind" aspect to a smirk: but lets not go there.)

However in my experiences, as between a 15-year-old Chiuaua and a 15-year-old Catholic; the Chiuaua is definitely meaner.
And they bite (the Chiusua that is).

The past two years were unprecedented, and I've seen no indication that Dems want to see a repeat of that approach to governing.

Your response exemplifies why I'm afraid of Democrats regaining power.

First, the Democrats, and the liberals like you cheering them on, are not the same. You can't go by how they acted in the past. They weren't the vindictive, hate-filled people we see now, who retracted their support for a wall simoly because they view it as giving Trump a win - and that overrides anything else in their minds, even when it hurts Americans. And I say this as someone who used to be a Democrat, and was registered as such in my previous state.

Second, your insistence about bigotry and racism pushed by Republicans is just more hate-mongering by liberals, and false. I'm not even going to get into your ridiculous accusations about "brown" people, women, immigrants, etc. What I've seen in recent days tells me enough - that, to liberals, the white man (or teen), especially if Christian, will be viewed as the trouble-maker in all instances, and a tiny little incident in which a white teenager smirked at a minority person who was taunting him will be blown so out of proportion that leftists will be calling for his head.

And in the meantime, leftist media like the NYT will call hate groups made up of black people, like the BHIs, "harmless." But don't us dare catch you smirking while white!

Threats are one thing. Let the police handle those.

But why reinforce to this kid that he can act like a DB and lie (quiet prayer)?
