Easy to be arrogant when your quarterfinal opponent has zero chance to beat you. Appreciate your good fortune and say thank you. |
Even if you are a Battlefield homer, the Taylor Cummings take was pretty funny... I trust that the "magic" is pretty tongue in cheek anyway. |
Robinson is not an elite team. They don't really have any standout players. Sure they have D1 commits but to what D1 schools? |
I think we may see Woodson in the championship game. |
You think they will get through Oakton and Madison? I would take the other side of that bet. |
Battlefield coaches had already scouted and watched game film and were prepared for #6 and 26. Coaches and players will not be taking Colgan lightly in a potential rematch. |
Agree, Woodson and Robinson are done after 1st round. |
Always nice to see coaches and players respect their opponents! |
Robinson and Woodson are in the top 5% of Virginia public schools. They will be competitive (probably an underdog) with both Oakton and Madison. All these top teams are at the tip of the iceberg. 90% of the teams are so far down under the surface and can't compete at the highest level. But all these girls and coaches work just as hard too just don't have the pipeline of talent. |
I think madison and oakton are definitely the top dogs- but for some reason I think woodson's 2 wins against robo will have them on a high and they will do anything to keep winning. |
Nice iceberg analogy. Same applies to College lacrosse. Maryland, Stoneybrook, Notre Dame and JMU are great examples of Top 10 elite teams that can compete with the best but once you get below the top 15-20 (all they way down to 123) you have fallen below that line. |
If Colgan's schedule wasn't so easy, they would be mentioned on this form a lot. They are a really good team. |

Great point! All these teams are above the surface (top 5 to 10%) -- Oakton, Madison, Battlefield, Woodson, Robinson, West Potomac, South Lakes, Langley, Yorktown, and West Springfield. Colgan is right up there emerging in sight and better than many thought. |
90% of the coaches out there would love to have the talent on any of the teams above !! |
