Wisconsin Battleground state will result in deaths

The GOP does best when few people vote. They’ve said as much publicly. Trump said publicly if the plan to mail in ballots goes forward that there will be few Democrats elected.

I have had such a miserable day, and then saw the Wisconsin supreme court vote and felt like I might cry tears of joy. I don’t even live in Wisconsin. I’ve never been to Wisconsin. But my gosh, I just want to hug every reasonable Wisconsin voter…virtually, of course

All you Wisconsin voters who turned up in the middle of a hail storm, in the middle of a pandemic, I wish I could buy you a drink. You are some amazing people.

Watch out, GOP. November is going to be a bloodbath for you.

Wisconsin is my home state, but I have been away for 35 years. I have recently been feeling like I could never really go back there and would be ashamed to even say I am from there, but today I felt like a ray of sunshine broke through. On Wisconsin!

Thanks for this. I trust pretty much nothing that comes out of trumps mouth. Stands to reason he is wrong here too.

This is not a fulfillable promise.

True, and for the dems, is was the best of both worlds, the GOP ruthlessness was exposed and yet, they lost. Now, I just hope there isn't a surge in cases because of this. We will know in a week or so.

Electorally, Wisconsin has turned into this decade’s Florida. We’re in for a wild ride in November! But I can’t see a path to Trump victory without Wisconsin.

Sorry GOP. The Democrat won the state supreme court seat away from Trump's boy. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/13/us/politics/wisconsin-primary-results.html

Trump can have WI if Biden gets PA MI and NC.

True. I personally see Wisconsin as more likely than NC. But I could be wrong!

Holy crap, that’s awesome! My county, Winnebago, rocked it too — Trump +7, Scott Walker (2018) +4, Karofsky +10

Wisconsin is so weird.

Any other surprises you see here, Wisconsinites?

I am the pp from above and could spend hours analyzing this map and comparing it to 2018/2016 results. The “BOW” counties — Brown, Outagamie, Winnebago — which collectively make up the region known as the Fox Valley in Wisconsin (Brown County is Green Bay, Winnebago is Oshkosh, and then Outagamie is the one in between those) is a super swingy and politically important region that trends slightly red but will go blue for certain candidates...sometimes even in the same year! For example, in 2018, Tammy Baldwin won all three of them, but so did Scott Walker. Anyway, all three went for Karofsky and this is a VERY good sign. There is virtually no path for Republicans to win the state if they don’t win those counties.

Also, god bless Milwaukee County. Seriously. Their determination to exercise their rights despite the poll closures is incredible.

Wisconsin PP again. It would be interesting to see what requested absentee ballots look like by age. I wonder if the voter suppression backfired — older voters stayed home to avoid the virus? Also would be interesting to see just how much the democratic presidential primary had on getting Dems out to vote. Would the Supreme Court results have looked different if there wasn’t the pres primary on the ballot?
