Well, OP, what say you now? The WI Dem primary was April 7. That was 3.5 weeks ago, more than enough time for CV symptoms to present in Wisconsin voters who participated in the primary. Of the 400,000 people participated in the April 7 primary in-person as either a poll worker OR a voter ... drum roll please.... 52 have since been diagnosed with coronavirus. None has died. Just want to make sure that we close the loop on this discussion, because -- reading back over some of the comments -- there was much angst here on DCUM about what the outcome would be. |
How many people did those 52 infect? If average R factors are accurate, then the answer is around 400.
How many have those 400 infected? And so on. |
Maybe more if infected don't shelter in place. https://www.healthline.com/health/r-nought-reproduction-number#covid-19-r-0

Most who catch it, actually very high percentages, have no symptoms. Plus, maybe it wasn't there much to begin with. There have only been a handful of cities that even got close to overcapacitating hospitals, mainly in NYC area. |
Subject: Re:Wisconsin Battleground state will result in deaths
.... And it didn't. Nothing material or immaterial happened with # of infections or a spike in testing demand at all. |
The point is, there was absolutely no "spike" in cases or deaths as a result of this event. |
The hysteria was misplaced but the original posters will never own up. |
Oh? “Brown County's increase in confirmed cases is the most pronounced in the state since the spring election. The state Department of Health Services reported the county had seen 41 positive tests by April 7. By April 17, that number had more than quadrupled, to 180. That's a 340% increase. In that period, statewide totals increased by 57%.” https://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/story/news/2020/04/17/brown-county-coronavirus-spike-cdc-wisconsin-investigate-cases/5156523002/ |
Wow. That sure seems like a spike to me but the republicans will never own up to it. |
Oh? |
doh |
This is the rise in case count from 4/24 to yesterday:
Nebraska 165.92% Minnesota 146.50% Iowa 127.47% Kansas 90.59% Virginia 74.71% North Dakota 69.25% Illinois 66.33% New Mexico 64.14% Maryland 63.20% Wisconsin 59.93% hmm, what did Wisconsin do that no other state have to do in April? |
At least 72 infected from the Madison "open it up" protests. |
As we test more, wouldn't it make sense that you will have more positive tests? Isn't hospitalization rate and mortality rate the more important numbers?
|
How do you know that all the 52 contracted the virus while voting? |
