Information from the state health department linked upthread. Meanwhile, get ready for another wave since Wisconsin’s running ANOTHER in-person election today. They need to replace Sean Real World Duffy in the House. |
Checking thread to see if the entire health care system in Wisconsin collapsed yet. Ok, looks like not yet. Anyone willing to admit they were over reacting? |
The worst didn't happen but it seems clear there was an COVID-19 outbreak in Green Bay and several dozen to a couple hundred cases linked to the election. Now can you explain why an in-person election was necessary during a pandemic? (France showed us that doesn't really work well, also.) |
Maybe read the thread before you’re bumping it with drivel? |

Yawn. Barely a blip. |
Uh, no. The outbreak in Green Bay was linked to a meat packing plant. |
Wisconsin has currently zero restrictions in place. The loosest state in the nation. Woohoo we’re number one!

Madison and Milwaukee are maintaining the restrictions. If I were in the WOW or north of LaCrosse, I would be prepared to spend some time in a hospital. |
Where have you read this? I’m in Milwaukee County and the WI tavern league encouraged bars to open tonight which some did. |
NP but I heard Dane County (Madison) is keeping the restrictions. Have not heard about Milwaukee. The mayor of Madison is coming up on MSNBC shortly. |
COVID-19 is becoming a red county problem in Wisconsin

The more populous counties are keeping the restrictions in place. |
It's not clear how long the incubation period is for covid, and it's not clear how many infected people have no symptoms. Hospitalizations and deaths are the clearest indication of a spike, but no one knows how long between infection and symptoms. It's a confusing and dangerous virus.
I'm betting there will be a big increase in cases now that Wisconsin bars and restaurants are open, none with allarent mask or social distancing rules. People waiting to vote wore masks and stayed far apart. That's not happening in the bars in Wisconsin. |
I’ve got so many family and friends in Wisconsin; this just makes me sick. |
