Colleges that do NOT push individual pronouns

Again, it means little to nothing for your (probably white) straight son or daughter to occasionally be asked to share their pronouns if they want to. But it might just mean everything to some students: it means they know that the faculty, staff and administrators are willing to do all they can to make them feel included, safe, healthy and comfortable.

When you've lost a student, you can talk to me about how very silly all of this is. When you've lost a student, let's sit down and talk about that. Until then? Honestly shut up. Maybe you'll learn something by listening.

Thank you for this and your respect and dedication to ALL students!

No, I think the two have always gone hand in hand.

If you vote for the GOP you vote against LGBTQ rights.

If you vote for Dems you are against women and men rights

Bullshit. It’s not a zero sum game.

Why is the GOP so against kindness and respect for others? What is wrong with you? Why are you such a shitty person?

This is beyond parody.

Someone asking for "kindness and respect for others" while exactly at the same time insulting someone else?

What is wrong with YOU?

I’m not a shitty person. I am kind to others, except hateful bigots.

Again, it’s not a zero sum game.

Why is the GOP so against kindness and respect for others? What is wrong with you? Why are you such a shitty person?

Exactly. Kindness to all except those who disagree with you

You are doing well comrade

It’s not that you think differently than me, it’s that you are HATEFUL and HURTFUL to others. Instead of just letting others do their thing, you seek out ways to be unkind and disrespectful. That’s why you are a a POS.

DP, it isn't about being unkind to someone who disagrees, it is about being unkind to someone who is being callous and disrespectful out of their own hate and ignorance.

Please tell me some colleges and universities where pronouns won't be in the face of my DC. So far I've heard Liberty, Thomas Aquinas, BYU, Hillsdale. Hillsdale seems to be the only one that isn't explicitly sectarian. Any others?

UChicago. It’s not ultra-conservative but they don’t engage in PC nonsense

I don't think you have taken a tour recently, if this was your walkaway opinion.

OP, are you remotely aware of the fact that names on emails, syllabi, and course descriptions have actually long been a bit confusing, even before "all this focus on pronouns" started?

Universities are big communities, and they are also international communities. My name is Laura French-sounding-last name; I am a stright, white, American female. My name once appeared in the university newspaper as Lawrence French-sounding-lastname. It wasn't a big deal, but there it was!

Can you tell me with 100% certainty the genders of the following people, as they appear in email signatures?

Dr. Thuy Nguyen
Professor Leslie Anderson
Mo Wallace, Director of University Libraries
Wang Fang, Coordinator, Department of Economics
Dr. Jan Ahlberg

Chicago also refused to let Richard Spenser speak, for all that they said any guest would be welcome in their letter. Turns out the liberal elites are just over the rise of the Nazis

https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20170814/hyde-park/white-nationalist-richard-spencers-request-speak-rejected-by-u-of-c/

I understand free speech and stuff, but I don't understand why people get upset about not wanting to support a white supremicist speaking on their campus. If you support the "rights" of nazis to speak, then maybe that is a euphemism for supporting the nazi-sim?

Here is statement from the VP for Student Affairs at Virginia Tech:
"Virginia Tech has a deep commitment to respect all individuals and to value human diversity. We articulate that commitment in our Principles of Community.

Stating one’s gender pronoun is a personal decision. No one in the Virginia Tech community is required to do so."

Penny Nance's editorial was published on the Federalist website:
"My Son’s Freshman Orientation At Virginia Tech Was Full Of Leftist Propaganda
Now that I have witnessed college propaganda firsthand, I refuse to ignore the indefensible and discriminatory behavior of the liberal campus bullies anymore."

And later: "First, send screen shots, video, or your story to Concerned Women for America at UniversityWhistleBlower@CWFA.org. We won’t disclose your name without permission, but we will tell your story."

The woman is on a mission.

Concerned Women for America, in their "who we are" website section, states:

"Concerned Women for America (CWA) is the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with a rich history of over 35 years of helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy. "

Let me repeat: "bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy"

They have a right to push for that, just like Atheists have a right to push Atheism. It’s America

Separation of Church and State was a founding principal of the USA.

They don’t have the right to push religious crap in a public university. Go to Liberty if you want to hang with the nutters.

You’re a moron. Public universities are for ALL people( religious, LGBT, liberal, conservative, etc) Religious people’s tax dollars go to these schools too.

Ignorant nonsense. The U. S didn’t have a state Church because there were many Protestant denominations. It was meant to protect the churches. We had prayer and Bible reading in public schools until the 1960s

Some nutters go to Liberty.

Many nutters don't go to Liberty but are pretty spread out, sometimes even implementing their nuttery at the whole college level -- that's what OP is trying to avoid I believe.

Just like if I sent my kid to NCS but still pay taxes to support Wilson High School. What is your point?

The US didn't have a state church because the founding fathers understood the proper role of religion in government (none) - they also understood there were a variety of religions. One of Jefferson's closest confidants was a "mooslim," there were Protestants of all different flavors, Jews, Quakers etc all in the US before there was a US.

If anti-whites can speak, let Spencer speak. BTW, I think Spencer is trashy and a joke of a scholar, but he’s no worse than a nut like Mark Lamont Hill

Public schools didn't start out with prayers and bible readings, and the Supreme Court found it to be unconstitutional decades ago.

To say that the Founders believed that religion had no place in government is laughable. Read some of Washington’s speeches

Gay fascism has no place in government
