Colleges that do NOT push individual pronouns

Anonymous
OP again. I don't think I've ever posted in politics in my years of using dcurbanmom. I am very interested in colleges, however, and have a senior DC. Please tell me some colleges and universities where pronouns won't be in the face of my DC. So far I've heard Liberty, Thomas Aquinas, BYU, Hillsdale. Hillsdale seems to be the only one that isn't explicitly sectarian. Any others?

Okay, there was this list, too, but someone said to take Fairfield off and I'm not sure why it was there in the first place:

Bob Jones University
Liberty
Brigham Young -Provo, Hawaii and Idaho
Southern Virginia University
Notre Dame
Thomas More
Benedictine College
Fairfield University
Regent University

State universities in more conservative states. Alabama, Auburn, Wyoming, etc. you’ll get hit with out of state tuition though. Hillsdale is excellent and not too costly. If your DC is male, Hampden-Sydney would also be great( but expensive)

UChicago. It’s not ultra-conservative but they don’t engage in PC nonsense

And take off Notre Dame. They honor pronouns. Are people not reading the thread? This has been discussed several times?

I've read the thread. It sounds like one tour guide introduced herself with pronouns and there is some sort of an LGBT center. Do most faculty use pronouns on their signatures? Do many classes begin with a round robin introduction of pronouns? Do what extent is Notre Dame honoring pronouns?

What happens when you cite a 3 year old article. You look like an idiot.

https://lgbtq.uchicago.edu/page/gender-pronouns

Chicago has a whole page explaining the different gender pronouns at use by members of their community. No U Chicago for OP.

From their website: using gender pronouns on autopilot may not have bad internet, but can be disrespectful and oppressive.

Many faculty, staff and students will ask for your gender pronouns.

OP’s kid is having a tough time finding a college.

Chicago also publishes the U Chicago Queer Compass. http://lgbtq.uchicago.edu/sites/lgbtq.uchicago.edu/files/uploads/UChicago%20Queer%20Compass%202012.pdf

Chicago also refused to let Richard Spenser speak, for all that they said any guest would be welcome in their letter. Turns out the liberal elites are just over the rise of the Nazis

Interesting OP didn't lead with the Virginia Tech example.

Here is statement from the VP for Student Affairs at Virginia Tech:
"Virginia Tech has a deep commitment to respect all individuals and to value human diversity. We articulate that commitment in our Principles of Community.

Stating one’s gender pronoun is a personal decision. No one in the Virginia Tech community is required to do so."

Penny Nance's editorial was published on the Federalist website:
"My Son’s Freshman Orientation At Virginia Tech Was Full Of Leftist Propaganda
Now that I have witnessed college propaganda firsthand, I refuse to ignore the indefensible and discriminatory behavior of the liberal campus bullies anymore."

And later: "First, send screen shots, video, or your story to Concerned Women for America at UniversityWhistleBlower@CWFA.org. We won’t disclose your name without permission, but we will tell your story."

The woman is on a mission.

Concerned Women for America, in their "who we are" website section, states:

"Concerned Women for America (CWA) is the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with a rich history of over 35 years of helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy. "

Let me repeat: "bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy"

They have a right to push for that, just like Atheists have a right to push Atheism. It’s America

They don’t have the right to push religious crap in a public university. Go to Liberty if you want to hang with the nutters.

I’m the one using Soviet/comrade. If she can call me a POS, calling her comrade is not unkind

Feel free to call me Soviet. It’s kinda funny since it hasn’t existed in how long? You must quite old.

Don’t want to be called a POS? Stop treating other people like that.
