Not to us. My husband and I thought he was creepy years ago. One of my kids’ friends had him at their bday party and my boys hated it so much.

Yes, I’ve been to parties with performances. They set up, in front of everyone, do show and leave. It’s not like the parents disappear from the scene of the party. I stand by what I said. I guarantee you, nothing from a party would come out.

You “guarantee” us Steve h Rossi was never alone with a child before or after a birthday party performance in a busy family home? Perhaps the Fairfax County police department would appreciate you sharing your source.

I am the PP that took his DD to many (maybe 50) performances. I can not speak for any child. But, I can assure you MY CHILD was never alone with him.

Well, well, my friend, aren’t you naive? Your favorite entertainer doesn’t need to be alone with your child. Mr Knick Knack apparently knows how to do his thing right in front of you! All parents here need to wise up, or your child can easily become a victim of some creepy guy.

If your child EVER says “Mr. So and So is creepy”, there’s your clue. You most likely have a pervert on your hands. Trust your kid. Don’t wait quietly for proof. Our job is to call Crime Solvers, and leave an anonymous tip. Report whatever your kid said. Let the investigators do their job. They’ll figure out if there’s anything inappropriate going on. Perhaps all they need is several parents (or kids) reporting similar grooming techniques perpetuated by the same guy. Don’t be afraid to share what may have happened. No one wants any child to be the victim of a perverted child molester.

PP here. Let me make this perfectly clear: 1) DD liked his music. We went from when she was about 1 year to about 3 years and something. At that age, DD did not know creepy. That was his target audience. ES kids would get creepy. Not two year olds. 2) Mr. KK was not my favorite performer. It was my DD's. I would much rather gone to weekly free concerts by Bruce Springsteen, but they were probably two loud for DD and frankly, less free.

I can not speak for private events -- I never hired him.

1. It’s astounding that any parent would take a 1 to 3 year old toddler to FIFTY performances by one man in two years. I frankly don’t believe you, but whatever.

2. After 50 shows, surely you’d know that even Steven Rossi reports his target audience is “under six”. Why are you claiming his target audience is 1-3 yr olds, Liar? I find your posts on this thread to be extremely odd.

3. The hundreds upon hundreds of private birthday parties gave him plenty of easy opportunities to molest children. If you study pedophilia, you learn that 60 year old men who are immersed in internet child pornography, are typically seeking real life opportunities to groom potential victims. Hence, his obsession with writing and singing very creepy songs to young children.

My creep alarm went off immediately. At the time, I thought I was overreacting, but I asked my husband to immediately go over there and supervise.

They hide in plain sight and I absolutely believe he developed tricks over the years. Would not be shocked if inappropriate touching occurred with my daughter before I noticed the situation in my own backyard full of kids and parents.

Thank you for sharing this here. It clearly demonstrates how important it is to be constantly vigilant at these events. Some of these men are obviously out to assault the children.

Im not poster you’re responding too, but he didn’t mention what the guy’s target range was, but that he took his daughter when she was 1-3 years old. It was his choice to go, and it’s not hard to believe he went to that many shows. If his daughter was a fan, then he took her to shows. Your reading comprehension needs work.

Tons of parents there, so it’s not ‘easy opportunity ‘ as you suggest. He’s horrible for the child porn he indulged in, but would be shocked if anything comes out about him doing anything at a party. It’s very crowded with parents, and people are aware of where he is.

Reposting this for 21:13. Investigators know that this stuff often takes time for families to come forward. It’s often extremely difficult.

Public performances is how they market themselves for the private events.
Not true. These mall and public events pay a lot to have performers there. I have a friend that worked for the marketing department at Potomac mills and they would pay their performers in the 400 dollar range.
I have another friend that was a librarian at a branch in Rockville and they would pay anywhere from 300 to 500 for performers. These shows are usually free to the public, but are paying their performers well.

I doubt Rockville Library ever paid $500.00 for any kids entertainment. That’s totally crazy. Public libraries never have that kind of funding.

Investigations do take time, but if families had stuff, they would of come forward, because you wouldn’t want to know that someone who harmed your child is out there entering other people’s homes to do same thing to someone else.
Someone would have pressed charges by now or gotten word out, so he couldn’t harm anyone else. He’s going to jail, and he should for the horrible crime he committed, but to the posters that it’s an ideal place for him to hurt a kid, it’s not isolating enough for him, and I don’t think any other charges come out. Time will tell.

Listen my friend, are you a perp? Because you certainly sound like one. At this point, you should zip it. You are doing yourself no favors here. Believe me.

Nope, not a perp, but since this is a forum where we can agree and disagree, I have that right as you do to voice an opinion. My opinion is that this particular individual is a horrible person that deserves to go to jail. We agree about that point. Where we disagree is that these parties are a haven for child molestors. Have you ever hired a performer?

Im not sure what you just posted, except a quote from someone that I disagree with, too. We can revisit this argument in 7 months and I’m pretty sure you won’t hear of any stories from bday parties. The performer doesn’t stay when all the parents leave and go bowling together.

Also, next time you take your kid to see a performer, ask the organizer what they pay. I’ve asked and it’s in the 400 dollar range depending on who it is.
