Mr. KK played a private birthday in our backyard. He secluded my birthday girl in a corner of our lot where he played her a special birthday song alone and she got to pick a prize from a bag of presents. Before you ask, he didn’t ask permission.

My creep alarm went off immediately. At the time, I thought I was overreacting, but I asked my husband to immediately go over there and supervise.

They hide in plain sight and I absolutely believe he developed tricks over the years. Would not be shocked if inappropriate touching occurred with my daughter before I noticed the situation in my own backyard full of kids and parents.

Not true. These mall and public events pay a lot to have performers there. I have a friend that worked for the marketing department at Potomac mills and they would pay their performers in the 400 dollar range.
I have another friend that was a librarian at a branch in Rockville and they would pay anywhere from 300 to 500 for performers. These shows are usually free to the public, but are paying their performers well.

You’re completely nuts if you think the Rockville public library has the budget to pay $500. for a kid show. Now indulgent parents? The sky’s s the limit! Ask Steve Rossi. Or any one of these guys who do the same thing.

Im just basing it on what a librarian told me. The price fluctuated, depending on how popular entertainer was and how crowded library was when they we’re there. Everyone, according to her, wasn’t paid the same.

You and your friend are completely delusional if you think Rockville Public Library paid anyone $500.00 to screech out a few songs and act like a twit with the kids. This man has no vocal talent.

Again, public shows is how they market themselves. Private events is where the big money is. And ACCESS to kids where everything is crazy busy in your house. The young birthday boy might feel extra special when he gets to help Mr Huggy load up his equipment after the show. These men should never be hugging the kids. There’s only one kind of man who wants to hug your child after a show. Parents must be vigilant if they go for these kid shows with men.

According to librarian and person at mall, they are paid huge money, so unless parents are paying over 400, then it sounds like big money is to be made at public appearances. A parent should always be vigilant, no matter where they are with kids. We’ve heard about performer here, but hear coaching or teacher stories once a week. It’s a sad and tragic world out there and always be vigilant, no doubt.

Am not at all surprised. Probably lots of other parents were also shocked about some of his behavior. The Fairfax Police Department is asking for parents to share this stuff with them. You don’t have to give them your name if you prefer not to.

If your child EVER says “Mr. So and So is creepy”, there’s your clue. You most likely have a pervert on your hands. Trust your kid. Don’t wait quietly for proof. The Fairfax police are asking *anyone* to please let them know if you suspect *any* questionable behavior that may have occurred. It doesn’t matter how long ago it was, or if you aren’t really positive. They just need for people to communicate with them. It’s the only way to protect children who aren’t able to protect themselves from these predators.

PP here. Let me make this perfectly clear: 1) DD liked his music. We went from when she was about 1 year to about 3 years and something. At that age, DD did not know creepy. That was his target audience. ES kids would get creepy. Not two year olds. 2) Mr. KK was not my favorite performer. It was my DD's. I would much rather gone to weekly free concerts by Bruce Springsteen, but they were probably two loud for DD and frankly, less free.

So if he isn’t married, he’s gay. I know people that have long term relationships with a girlfriend or boyfriend and neither person wants to get married. 55 percent divorce rate. Marriage sucks

Just looking at the increasing number of local arrests for sex assaults in the schools, just about all the perps are men and most of the victims seem to be more boys than girls.

Yeah, I’d like to know what percentage of the men in schools assaulting boys just happen to be gay men. Why is that such a loaded question? It seems fairly simple to me. (No one is saying that every gay man wants to assault young boys.)
