If you don't like what America is saying about Russia then feel free to go back. |
I believe Russia meddled. But I also think they always have meddled. And why wouldn't they? They are an economic rival. |
Excellent thread by Kimberley Strassel:
1) On the #NoCollusion findings of Mueller's report. It's worth recognizing that this is more than an exoneration. It's a searing indictment of the FBI. 2) If you are going to investigate a presidential campaign, and on a charge as grave as collusion, and with the heavy-handed tactics the FBI employed--you'd better have a highly convincing reason to act. The Mueller report is a judgment that never was any real evidence. 3) The Papadopoulos conversation was always thin gruel. And the Mueller findings now prove the dossier was a fabrication. The country now deserves a full accounting of how the FBI blew this so badly--so that it doesn't happen again. 4) If Mueller has done his job, he will address some of this. But the real accounting needs to come from a full declassification of FBI/DOJ probe docs. Mueller report is only half the story. Time to go back to the beginning, to how we got a special counsel in first place. |
Russian is a not a race (and race is a ridiculous concept). But the 'Russia hacked the 2016 election' story has depended in no small measure on treating Russians as somehow inherently devious. That is racialized nonsense, pure and simple. Ask Venezuela or Gaza or Iraq or Afghanistan or Haiti or Libya or Syria about fearing the U.S. regime. Then realize that you too are pushing racialized Russophobia. |
Time to remind people: the FBI operates without a legal charter. It was hatched by Teddy Roosevelt to pursue his agenda. It's time we re-examine the frightening powers we give to law enforcement and the intelligence agencies. |
OMG - you are delusional. Seek professional help. Please? |

The Russian here. Thank you. I still have a few years to decide who to vote for. I know I wouldn’t have voted for Trump in 2016.
I personally haven’t felt any racism towards me, but I have heard from friends about their kids being bullied by Hispanic kids who called them “trump’s kids”. I think the Democratic Party needs to understand that there are many people inthe US now who 1) are eligible to vote 2) come from fairly traditional societies but represent the progressive class of said societies, and therefore come out as moderate here; 3) are not experiencing any white guilt (in fact many are not white) and 4) are engaged in their own struggle for financial well being too much to care about disadvantaged people. Many of them had no idea how bad Trump would be, and his alternative was totally unacceptable to them. |
Yes, and that was ridiculous. But what does it have to do with "racism"? |
To be fair, he's said that all along. Remember how long it took Michelle Obama to acknowledge she was proud of her country? ![]() |
Well I don’t like what Russia is saying about America either. It is a crazy regime now, I am not arguing that. I just think that the US should leave it to its own devices, just like the Russian propaganda should tone it down re: the US. |
That Trump was too stupid to realize that Russia was trying to play him does not make me feel better.
That Hillary was too arrogent to do the basic campaigning that would have counteracted Russia's weak ass efforts doesn't make me feel better. We're still left with the same scenario, a moron as a president who is hurting America and d-bag ex-candidate whose fault it is. |
And that's really all that needs to be said. Succinct and clear - not sure how anyone could argue with that. (Though, naturally, they are!) |
Arrogent? That’s not autocorrect. |
Go ahead and recount the central claims of the birthers and see if you can figure it out. |
