Plenty of other clubs have good coaches and nice families. What makes Cavs different than most is that nearly all the coaches are dads, which is a terrible philosophy.

Cavs parents were nice, but one reason we left Cavs was their poor coaching.

They may play 2nd tier tourneys. But if you aren’t from UVA or Duke or the like (ie, second tier), you are scouting at the “second tier” tourneys. Bottom line is that CAvs have a good formula and marketing scheme/

Wrong. They play in 3rd tier tourneys, and plenty of top D1, D2 & D3 colleges recruit the top and 2nd tier events.

Nobody gets looks at Shore Wars.

Correct - Shore Wars doesn’t represent this as recruitment event either. But its ok to play for fun too - family gets to go to beach, etc

I’ll say it one more time. Our son played for Cavs since the beginning. He went D1 and is listed on their website as a committed player. He left in 7th grade to get better exposure, no one was mad. No drama.

We loved every minute of our Cavs experience and yes they helped him grow and develop as a player.

Thanks for the memories! Once a Cav always a Cav.

If he left Cavs in 7th grade, it is dishonest of them to list him as a committed player.

I would guess he played for another club since then. Do they also list him as a commit?

The number of people who care could be counted on the fingers of Def Leppard's drummer. If the parent's don't care why should you? Kid played for Cav's and they are proud. A HS or youth team may also post he committed to the D1 school. This happens in all sports.

No club lists commits who committed playing for another team but ast played for them in 7th grade.

Except Cavs.

The Cavs themselves should care about their own integrity.

The fact that they obviously don't is a reason to have nothing to do with them.

(More important reason is weak coaching, of course.)

Hogan Hershey. Cav 2025 and 2022 beat up the usual worthless trash and won their divisions. (polite golf clapping)

Cav 2023 didn't do well, and Cav 2024 got trounced.

MadLax Caps won 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029.

So much for the rumor Hershey wasn't going to let ML play because of last year's cheating.
