| Do the Democrats even have a compelling candidate? It feels like Hogan will win by default. |
| If Democrats nominate Ben Jealous, I will vote for Hogan. |
Racist troll. |
I am not PP, but how is that racist? One is still allowed to advocate against an African-American without being declared racist, right? Plus, there are other minority candidates in the race and it sounds like PP might be open to supporting them. |
You are right. I am the PP, and I support a black candidate. My first choice, who has dropped out, is also black. |
| I think they were trying to be funny. |
Who dropped out? |
Maya Rockeymoore Cummings. |
| I’ll vote for Baker in the primary but will likely vote for Hogan in the General. While I like Baker and think he’s done a good job in PG, I also think Hogan has done a good job as governor and don’t see a reason to kick him out. Particularly since I feel like MD desperately needs some balance. These days, because of Trump, it feels like everyone in D politics is in an unsustainable arms race to show how much more left of everyone else they are. |
| Given the "historic" flooding today in Ellicot City, I wonder if it is time to rethink the whole rain tax thing? |
No, Benjamin Jealous is the racist. Fixed that for you. You're welcome. |
Good job in pg county, really? Lost federal funding in his first year for head start programs. His tract record in education is abissmal. But you go ahead. |
Your track record in education is pretty abysmal. |
| Also voting for Hogan. Balance is nice because it keeps candidates on their toes and keeps them attuned towhat the people really want. Too many democrats or republicans is a bad thing. |
|
I am voting against Hogan because I feel he hasn't done much for the more urban areas of the state. He talks a good game but the roads in Maryland are terrible. He hasn't brought in any new businesses...in fact we are losing many like Discovery. Despite what people think about Baltimore, it is our largest city and it makes the state look bad when you have that type of crime and poverty while you have really wealthy suburban areas. He should have built the red line there and taken advantage of the federal money.
He is popular because the bar is set so low for Republicans and he isn't acting like Trump or other crazy right wing nut, which is a bad reason to vote for someone. Alec Ross has my vote as I think he gets it and is an outsider that will bring in new ideas for Maryland. |
