Good luck with that. Country of 320 million and it won't scale, especially when half the country doesn't want to pay for anything.

I don't really care what democrats want. They constantly "want. They're like kids for life". They perpetually broke and constantly ask "Can we have....."

Yup. Remember that woman who asked Obama, during his campaign run, if it was true he was going to pay off her mortgage? (Or, more precisely, the taxpayers would?) Democrats run their entire campaigns on, "if you vote for me, I will give you more free stuff." The latest rendition was free college. Get real.

You are correct. Vote for Dem. for free stuff. We work 10-12 hrs a day so very poor or some by choice poor folks can get free stuff.

Virginia. Mine went up 17% in July

Just like America’s pricey waistline.

Before Obamacare, we paid a total of 700/mo. Now that goal is 2700/mo

I paid $400 for an individual plan before Obamacare, and now pay more than $800. But that's for a plan with twice the deductible. If I wanted a plan comparable to the $400 plan, it was $1080. Almost tripled in three years!

Thank goodness you didn't get a catastrophic illness pre ACA. You would've been hosed.

Pre ACA, I couldn't get insurance. Now I can. There are two sides to this. Yes, it needs fixing. But, what Trump is proposing will hurt others. You want to go back to a system that prevented others from getting insurance; ACA is costing you a fortune. What is the answer for ALL Americans? That is what a leader is supposed to address, not just your (or my) status.

Not the PP. our plans were 2/3 cheaper and 3x better prior to Obamacare. We were screwed so you could float. F off

Well, PP, you told the previous PP who had no healthcare before the ACA. She really ought to die for depriving you of, what, some extra money that you CAN afford to pay, but just don't want to.

And, PP, did you LOSE your healthcare? Are you dying of a treatable disease because you no longer have insurance? No? Oh, and have you lost your home because you can't pay your medical bills? No?

So, PP, basically, you're pissed off you have to pay more money for health insurance that you didn't have to pay before the ACA. What did you do with that money? Take nice vacations? Buy a nicer car? Send your kids to private instead of those crummy public schools? If so, you're really, really "suffering" because of the ACA. PP OUGHT TO DIE to pay for your deprivations!!

DP. PP is arguing in favor of a plan (Obamacare) that allows health care executives to make millions every year while the lower middle class skips vacations to pay for the less fortunate.

A lot of people don't find that plan to be terribly attractive, PP.

maybe I am wrong, but my understanding was that Obamacare capped how much health care executives can made, while Trump and republicans wants to remove the cap

If you're suggesting execs don't make millions under Obamacare, please share your source.

Obamacare didn't cap the money execs were pulling in.....to the contrary, lobbyists donated big bucks to the Democrats (who passed the ACA) to make sure they weren't touched. The CEO of United Health made almost $18 million last year.

Aetna CEO made $29 million in 2015.

? You think ACA is the law that allowed insurance execs to make millions? It really wasn't ACA that allowed this. I'm all for curbing CEO pays. You think Trump will go for that?

You want something that is good for you but bad for the less fortunate. That's the flip side of your argument. I suppose your next argument would be "why should I have to pay for someone else"? Well, we all do that when we pay taxes. Plus, I guess I could say, "Why should I buy American made products just so that an American have a job"? See how that works?

This is not nearly as hard to understand as you're making it. If someone has to tighten their belt to pay for the less fortunate, let it be the millionaire health care execs, not the hard-working folks who saved up all year for a vacation. Somehow there's enough money under Obamacare to pay exorbitant salaries but yet money is scarce when it's time to pay for the less fortunate.

Really... you think the millionaire execs were only making this much because of ACA? I have an idea.. why don't you tell Trump and Rs to curb their pay and bring down the cost. Maybe that would help ALL Americans. What do you say to that? I'm all for it. You think Trump will go for it?

So how would you make it equal for EVERYONE? Because Trump's EO will make millions of lower class people lose healthcare full stop.

How is that? They still get their subsidies on the premiums. Those are not the subsidies that were eliminated.

You can blame this on the conservative SCOTUS which banned campaign finance reform that addresses this very damn thing.

I have news for you: those execs were making millions BEFORE ACA, too.

2010 before ACA was fully enacted United Health CEO made $48 million.

Jesus, people. We're fighting over the table scraps while the rich and for-profit health care industry chuckle away. The notion that we can't implement single payer is ridiculous - look at Medicare and across Canada and Europe there's success story after success story. Take away the profit from health care and take away insurance in favor of direct, single payer.

Trump EO is a joke. It's so he can run commercials in 2018 that he did something and people who don't know any better don't realize they're screwed.

Before Obamacare: Health care execs made millions, and the lower middle class could afford a once-a-year vacation.

Under Obamacare: Health care execs still make millions, and the lower middle class can't afford a once-a-year vacation.

See the difference?

I doubt Trump will make things better, but it's weird that liberals can't understand that folks have good reason to be unhappy with their ridiculously crappy with their health care plans under Obamacare.

What I hear them saying is you can have affordable health insurance while you healthy. If you get sick or old it’s off to the high risk pool no one can afford. Sad that everyone will eventually end up there.

Are you f*n kidding me? Prior to ACA MILLIONS didn't have insurance. Seriously, what the hell do you think ACA was trying to address. The lower/middle class were being helped by the subsidies, but only if their governor accepted the medicaid expansion. And several red states didn't expand their medicaid program so their lower/middle income people couldn't afford the healthinsurance. Please tell me you knew this part.
