NCS and St. Albans misconduct

Not either pp here. If both schools sent a class-wide letter, it had to be pretty serious. Especially since both schools are routinely criticized for looking the other way.

If a girl does something rude its ok for a boy to also act in a low degraded fashion as though brought up in a bad neighborhood? No. If a girl does something rude a boy should smile weakly and wait for a year when she may have grown up. Saying nice tits is never acceptable.

There are posters-- mostly one -- who are working very hard to create a false equivalence. I have no idea if all the talk of flashing breasts is true( not my sense from my NCS daughter who was not reluctant to tell me about bad behavior) but even if girls have sent topless pics, which I am
Not convinced, that is not a part of these allegations. No one is accusing girls if this behavior in the letters. It just sounds like something you are using to justify the boys' behavior.

Topless pictures trump rude.
Texting a boy so often he wants to lock his number is not as bad and I think it is rude to block the number, the boy can just ignore it until the fervor dies down. Plus the boy should not humiliate the girl for being aggressive she is young and needs to learn.

The NCS head of upper school wrote "of unwanted sexual advances at parties, of inappropriate sexual comments, and of sexual and social behaviors that our schools do not condone." Are you trying to categorize those behaviors are merely "rude"? Surely you'd agree that any STA boy engaging in such behavior ought to be disciplined severely, wouldn't you?

It depends.

If a boy says to a girl nice tits that is rude.

If a girl flashes a boy and then he says nice tits... Well ... That is a different story.

What we do not have here is the whole story.

It appears you think that whatever the NCS girls were discussing in this google doc, it could only be classified as "rude" behavior by STA boys at worst (your first example), or not-quite-rude if you think it was instigated by the girl (your second example). Is that really what you're saying? Do you even allow for the possibility it might have described something more severe than merely "rude" behavior by the STA boys? If not, I think you may have a blind spot.

I was addressing the fact that the boys went on social media and mocked a girl's comments that are in the document. That is really the only fact we know, that boys mocked what was suppose to be private.

The rest is ambiguous. What was posted could be true, false or many shades in between. I think we have all learned to wait for all the facts after the UVA mess.

We have the whole story on you certainly. The information was not supposed to be private. The schools are hushing it up to protect their own reputation. The inappropriate comments- we don't know if they were mocking or not.
We who have suffered through NCS know all the facts about the way those schools are run. We know that the gov is suing UVA. Maybe the gov will sue STA and NCS as well .

Yes the school has been hiding the abuse. The girls are sick of it. Privacy is a false issue.

Hey, I'm a parent at Sidwell. Speaking from experience, I strongly urge the STA and NCS parents to take this offline. You have no obligation to fight this out in public - even if anonymous - forum. Good luck and I'm sorry this busted out in public, same story could be told at literally any school in the United States or most of the western world.

You are not a sidwell parent you are an ncs sock puppet from the admin.

She probably is a Sidwell parent. Problem is, there are 1-2 virulent NCS haters (you?) who will never, ever take this offline because it's too much fun to make up BS about NCS in a public place like this.

People keep saying this. I don't understand why.

It was offline and nothing was done. So now it's online. The girls are sick of it being hushed up.

+1. Otherwise the same old blame and don't respond song and dance from NCS.

Counseling dept at NCS needs help .

I don't know which Counseling Dept you are referring to, but they can only do what the NCS HOS and US Head allow.

The US Government can't sue St. Albans for anything.
