Die thread die!!!!!
|
| This thread will be going strong long after the WES Headmaster has left the school. |
| Did anyone actually see the head of school at the picnic yesterday? It was a nice event but I figured he would really be working the crowd. Sorry I missed him if he attended. |
| He has always been "checked out." Now I know why -- he was applying for a new job so he could leave WES. He always seemed as though he was disinterested. If he was truly committed to the school, he would have asked his wife to move to DC. |
He was at the picnic for the last time. Other than the picnic, the camp out event was wonderful. But these should not get in the way of the toxicity of the posts by "anti-WES posters"... |
| We decided to pull our DS out, of WES at the end of this year. We see just not comfortable with what is taking place there. The is a real void of sound decision making from our perspective. My DS, meet the new chaplain candidate today, and he is not even ordained. That makes me wonder of Father Tim is leaving because the church is not allowing priests to stay there. |
Please excuse the autocorrect mistakes in my post. |
|
Mr. Duncan did not come from the south, he came from California.
|
| Father Tim was relatively new, and he was interviewing at other schools - that seems odd to me. |
11:27 here and you responded to me. I asked a simple question and said it was a nice event. However, if I were in his position and about to leave, I would have been working the crowd. I do not see how that makes me toxic or anti-WES - I just like to see people leave a job on a high note. |
What decisions are you referring to? Everyone seems very pleased with the interim head. Maybe the new chaplain will be ordained over the summer. Did you ask? |

I have to say, I have had my children distributed among three different private schools in the DC area and all of these problems can be at any of these schools. There is no perfect school out there, but that is life. Your child may not find a perfect place of employment. Politics and biases are everywhere. Instead of complaining about a school find one that fits your child(ren). The luck of the draw is everywhere and one should encourage their child to flourish regardless. WES is a good school and a wonderful environment for students. There are amazing teachers who have been there for years and the recent hires are holding their own.
It is easy to sign on anonymously and attack a school and some of their employees, but this can be done to any school. I dare any of you negative people to find me a school without "perceived" flaws. We all grew up without the perfect school experience. You mesh better with some teachers than others. That is life...don't worry about protecting your children too much or they may not function well in society. This is my first time on this sight and all I have to say is sign off and spend your time with your children, instead of ranting and raving and gossiping on this sight. I will not be back, this is such a waste of time. |
| Sure other schools have problems. But, good schools solve their problems and good schools certainly don't have the same epic problems year after year. WES has some very positive things going on, but the negatives are overwhelming . Why pay Big 3 tuition to WES when there are higher functioning and more reputable metro privates available? |
| Well said. I agree! |
Yes. I did ask and he is not in any ordination process. The decisions I am referring to are decisions to hire teachers with no education background. |
