Sex abuse is way under reported. This must change. Rapists must be investigated and jailed.

I'm sorry did you miss the part that 30% of this country thinks a Rapist, sex offender, child abuser should stay president and is a God?

Republcians do not care if girls are raped or if incest occurs or child porn. The Catholic church is a prime example of how Christians rally around the abusers. Same with Church youth Pastors etc, or people like the Duggars.

Pick up any newspaper in the US weekly some church going shit has been arrested for child porn or some sex act aganist a minor, but he's an upstanding ciitzen according to his church. Trump's spiritual advisor got arrested for this exact thing.

I missed all that because it's some liberal fantasy in your head. Keep it to yourself.

Most pedophiles in the news these days seem to be teachers or coaches, hence the question, would you allow a male daycare worker near ypur child?

There’s a logical fallacy there. Teachers and coaches get CAUGHT more, because there are more safeguards in place to identify and stop the behaviors. Also, it’s newsworthy when it happens because of the breach of public trust.

News organizations are not reporting about the stepparents and older siblings and family friends who sexually abuse children. They are much less likely to be caught, and when they are, details are less likely to be released to the public. A

Here's the latest from Asra's X account. TLDR: Teacher contacted school officials 7x to report Social Worker taking students to abortion clinic, and was then reprimanded. Principal Chad is on audio. The investigative reporter is not Asra, but does have all the receipts. Search Asra on X for more info:

"Meet teacher and whistleblower Zenaida Perez. Born in Cuba, she has been teaching English as a second language for 20+ years, many of her students young Hispanic immigrants. A native speaker of Spanish, she builds strong bonds with her students.

Last week, she went public with allegations that a social worker at Centreville HS in Clifton, Va., facilitated and funded an abortion in the fall of 2021 for a 17-year-old girl from Guatemala -- without her legal guardian's knowledge.

The next day, @FCPSNews @FCPSSupt
Michelle Reid claimed the school district had just learned of the allegations the day before. Read the young woman's witness for yourself in a
@FoxNews
exclusive, I write about how Ms. Perez torched Superintendent Reid's claim in a 2-hour, 45-minute interview with a school board lawyer, Mary McGowan yesterday.

Ms. Perez documented how she warned school district officials 7 times over 3 years, dating back to May 2022.

Here is audio from a November 2022 meeting Ms. Perez had with her then-school principal Chad Lehman, whom staffers nicknamed “Lord Farquaad,” the tyrannical ruler and villain in the children’s movie, “Shrek.” You can hear him acknowledging her concerns about coerced abortions.

You decide: did school officials learn about the allegations just last week as Superintendent Reid claims or have they known since 2022?

Ms. Perez told the school board attorney that school district officials are "covering up" the abortion scandal.

Listen to Ms. Perez's story in the 🧵and see the retaliation she has faced ever since she came forward as a whistleblower.

What if the child ASKED FOR HELP. Help that their parents were unwilling to provide? What if the parents were the problem? There are parents who traffic their children and parents who sexually abuse their children. If someone is helping a child, thank goodness.

There are counselors and teachers who brainwash kids in order to abuse them.

It is laughable to pretend you wouldn't be furious if a staff member "just helped" your daughter make an appointment for an abortion - regardless of your views on abortion. Stop the deliberately obtuse act.

I'd be wondering how I had failed as a parent that my daughter felt she couldn't come to me. Not furious at the person who helped her.

Please. Of course you'd be furious. Otherwise, how about you give us your daughter's information, and we'll handle her medical appointments.

Not all of us believe our daughters are breedslaves for our husbands.

Jesus, lady. I'm pro-choice. Even so, I don't need school staff deciding that my daughter should get an abortion. You sound utterly deranged.

Deciding?

JFC. Supporting a girl through a tough period isn’t forcing a decision on them.

It is not the school's job. Supporting would be contacting the county Health Department. Schools should not be in the abortion business--or the transition business.

Reading, writing, and arithmetic have dropped far down the FCPS priority list.

Fake news.

Supporting kids means they are better able to learn.

DP. You clearly have mental issues. If indeed, a staff member drove a student to get an abortion - without notifying her parents, Health Dept, etc. - then that person was far beyond simply "out of line". I hope they're fired. And the fact that you support their actions speaks volumes about you. As I said earlier, provide your kid's address and we'll swing by and take her for a medical appointment / abortion without notifying you. Since you wouldn't have a problem with it.

JFC. There’s support and there’s driving a minor to an abortion clinic without telling the guardian. Reid already said that if the facts as presented are true, then those involved absolutely did the wrong thing.

I've got to think those defending these allegations are trolls. No one could actually be that stupid. Could they?

Yes. There are people who will defend the schools at any cost.

Anonymous wrote:Well, from the story out today, it appears that the girl was driven to the clinic by her boyfriend. She had just turned 17, so was 16 when she became pregnant.

Now, I guess the boyfriend could have been an adult abuser, but I really have no idea. We have been told that the guardian was an uncle.

Nevertheless this has nothing to do with politics. And, PP is demeaning the seriousness with those attacks.

I've stated on here a number of times. This should not have been handled by the school in any way except to put the child in contact with the Health Department if she did not want her guardian to be involved. That would have been the legal way. Why is this so hard to understand? Results would likely have been the same, but it is not the school's job in any way.

Besides Asra being a liar and a paid tool for the far right, this recent report is interesting outside of the name-calling and lies.

It seems that every time Ms. Perez was called into the principal's office for some misdeed, she tried to muddy the waters with a year old story that had very little substantiation. There is no evidence besides Ms. Perez's allegations that any of this happened. Even the letter from the former student is suspect, because it could have been written under duress or not even written by the student in question.

The truth will come out, but Asra Nomani is not the one to deliver it. Ever.

Every thread where Asra appears you feel the need to bash her. Please go away. I appreciate Asra's journalism and if anything she is progressive and a great example and role model of a feminist Muslim woman. Take your grudges and obsessions and go crawl back under your bridge to stew.

However, there is a clear law in place that sides one way. The motivations of the principal is clear in sight. He wanted to game his high school graduation rate that is evaluated by gatehouse and state bureaucrats, and saw that a potential early motherhood would adversely affect his graduation rate.

The principal has since been wrongfully promoted. And part of a broader disease in this country where high school graduation rates have increased from 75 to over 90 percent, in recent years that unfortunately don’t indicate improving education outcomes but rather, where admins unethically pressure teachers and their job security to pass lazy and undeserving kids so that they can inflate their level of success or in this case do something flat out illegal. That midget needs to go.

Oh shut up maga

You are a liar this is not what happened

Screw off maga I’m tired of these fear mongering lies.

It’s an election year the mags lies are gong to be horrifying

Okay, then. Please tell us what happened. Maybe if other media outlets would investigate, we could learn something. I take Asra's story with a grain of salt--but, I usually learn something that is accurate. She interviewed the teacher and she gave some details. We have yet to hear the other side.

I do know this: the school should not be involved other than to encourage the girl to talk to her guardian. If the girl does not want to do this, the school should connect her with the county Health Department.

If the girl gets the abortion with the help of the Health Department, the school can be supportive of her and try to help her AFTERWARDS as she pursues her education. That is the school's job.
