Um, yeah. The Elon admissions people are commenting on a Richmond DCUM thread. That sounds plausible. |
Think you nailed it. |
Apparently, some do - to bash it unnecessarily. The truth is that they wouldn’t meet the admissions threshold compared to Elon, Sewanee, etc. |
|
You aren’t good enough for Richmond. You wouldn’t get in. Look elsewhere. We don’t want your kind. |
I guess we can see why people feel compelled to share their experiences, yikes! |
Wow. |
Hard to see why anyone would flex with Richmond, but to each their own. |
Kash Patel went there. That’s a legit flex. |
So did Lil Dicky |
Naming older alumni of school is cringe though, can you imagine an Ivy doing that? I honestly think that’s why Richmond gets heat. No other off the top of my head in that school range tries to pretend they’re something they are not. I don’t even mind the school, think the campus is pretty, but you’re not elite so don’t try to pretend to be. |
There's that arrogance someone mentioned. Big turnoff. |
No the true elites (HYPSM) don't do this, they don't have to. But UR isn't alone in doing it either. Some top schools do it too. Georgetown listed famous alums in its info session. I specifically remember this because one of them was Bradley Cooper. (And yes that is the ONLY thing I recall from that info session.) |
So weird. Who cares? |
Yep |
