Thoughts on U Richmond

Anyone know anything about I Richmond? Never heard of it before my daughter mentioned it. Seems like a strong school. Not well known like W&M or UVA. But still super expensive. I’m not getting the appeal here.

Don’t send your kids to UR. Way overrated.

Old southern money. Also lots of Jersey bros.

My son looked at UR last year. Weird school. We won’t be looking at it for kid number 2.

Very pretty campus, extremely well kept. Small student population. Most of the students seem affluent and preppy. Fairly homogenous. That said, I liked it. Would 100% pick W&M over it however.

Went on a tour with my kid about a month ago, it was a terrible tour. No mention of clubs, if they had sports, etc. Very disappointing, its so expensive and tough to get into. Something was off

So the UR troll posted 3 times in a row, each a minute apart.

Just go away.

It’s been a while, but my oldest got into and went to UVA but was waitlisted at U of R.

You all are just jealous because you can’t afford UR and can’t get in even if you had the money. Look elsewhere. We don’t need your kind.

U of R is a wonderful school! We know many there. They are bright active down to earth students. Campus is beautiful and outcomes are comparable to WM, Wake, BC.

Sorry your son couldn’t get in. There’s always VCU.

Richmond has moved ahead of W&M and uva. It’s now the top school in Virginia.

Not surprised. UR is the better school.

These comments are so arrogant. Also so untrue. Does anyone really believe UR is a better school than W&M or Iva? I think not.

I asked this in another thread: how come I never met any graduate from U of R even though I lived in NoVA all my life? Is it that small of a population? I feel like it's a different circle than mine. Where do students come from? where do they go? what's the circle that brags that their DC is going to U of R?

It's a hard school to get into and I'm definitely missing something. The WASP people I know but still don't get but I meet them and talk to them just don't get them. You can tell - I'm a State school guy. Just trying to understand.
