Like the temper tantrum this country has thrown every 2 years for almost 20 years?
The American electorate is schizophrenic They never give anyone enough time. If things aren’t fixed immediately if not sooner, they swing the other way. It’s freaking ridiculous and exactly why nothing ever gets fixed. |
You’re being ridiculous. If you can’t address the points, that’s fine, but don’t pretend like it was some out of control outburst. |
Oh come on. Of course it was a temper tantrum. That PP (you?) just insulted voters for paragraphs because those voters don’t automatically agree that every single political position you hold is the absolute morally correct one simply because you, the better person, hold it. There were no substantive points to which to respond. It was as erudite as an entitled tween flinging insults at a parent who has finally had the guts to tell her “no.” I realize that one of the major problems with Democrats now is that they have no conception of how to deal with disagreement, but come on. I’m not wasting my time responding to a rant with the intellectual depth of a puddle. |
So in other words, you’ve got nothing. |
The intellectual depth of a puddle at work, I see. |
Ask Republicans. They’re in power. Are they supporting US workers? Are they supporting US citizens? Are they supporting people’s rights and the countries laws? If so, what’s the problem. |
Here’s who Dems have on their side: 95% of news outlets 95% of college professors 95% of show business celebrities 80% of pro athletes But sure, anybody who opposes the Dems is obviously brainwashed by the trickle of rightwing perspectives they hear. It couldn’t possibly be that Democrats’ policies are insane & their leaders are weak. |
So close, and yet still so far away from getting it. |
Exactly. Those voters were always dumb, but at least they voted Democrat. Now they vote Republican. They’ve clearly gotten stupider. |
You are a bigot, not a Democrat |
Such a winning message from Democrats. Guaranteed to sway voters. |
It looks like the Republicans will get at least 12 straight years in the White House this time. We’ll see how they do |
And what is infuriating is that the Democrats are the ones who are going to make this happen. |
The problem isn’t that Dems don’t empathize. It’s that they as a party are not willing to capitulate to going backwards, especially to an era where so many were oppressed and marginalized for the benefit of a few. Which is exactly Why they see Trump and company as a problem. The Dems understand progress, compromise, and reflection. As others have said, if the voters want Trump and his brand of politics and government then they’re in luck. If not, then they need to really begin to reflect on what it is they do want. |
The lack of self-awareness here is astonishing. |
