I'm afraid you are correct. Our brand is coated with a stink that can't be removed with any known solvent. |
Dems should support illegals by taking them in, welcoming to their households and families and listen to their strife and struggles. |
Yes, the working classes do so much better in red states where they’re sicker, poorer, less well educated, and constantly lied to. |
True. I am an Asian American voter and have never voted for any Republicans since my first vote as a college student for Carter in 1980 but switched to being an independent and have voted only for Republicans since 2016 and will never vote for any Democrats due to discrimination promoted by Dems with programs such as DEI and affirmative action. I have noticed many other Asian families shocked by government (our hard earned money) paying for sex change operations for convicted criminals and illegal aliens and, allowiowing sex change operations for minors without the consent or even knowledge of parents. |
You’re marinating your brain in right wing fake news. |
Dems could follow Rosie and move to Ireland. |
The issue is there is no back, there is moving forward or getting left behind. Folks are still hoping old coal mining jobs can come back despite seeing what’s it’s done to environment, health, and seeing that the industry has moved on. Also this same white working class has given power over to politicians and companies, especially big ones, letting them get the most benefit to determine the course of everything. Which party is for the elimination of unions? Who do unions support? Who is the party talking about changes to healthcare and changes to insurance?
These quotes, like this thread are exactly the problem. Folks are expecting Dems to fix all the problems and make people feel good. And when they can’t or don’t do it in a way some like, or in some ridiculously short prescribed time folks shift and blame and go looking for something else, usually in the wrong place because they won’t educate themselves. So now they are for Trump blowing up the system. Okay, then what’s going on now is what they want. Republicans and Trump have the solutions and power. So why are folks angry? What took them by surprise? Why are folks expecting Dems to do something? |
Or maybe the voters could try not being stupid racists. What you’re not getting is that this is who these Americans are. This is what they want. They want radical change, because they think they’re being left behind. They voted for a dictator to punish those uppity brown people and women and foreigners. Now they have one, and they’re ecstatic. Nothing the Democrats could possibly say or do can penetrate a bubble built on fear and hatred. Facts don’t matter. Logic doesn’t matter. Empathy doesn’t matter. Christian values don’t matter. For the past few decades, they’ve been carefully taught to hate anyone with a D attached to their name. You’re inside that same bubble too, gloating over imaginary caricatures of preening out of touch Democrats. Nothing the Democrats do would make them palatable to you unless they move further to the right. Why on earth would they do that? Then they wouldn’t be Democrats any longer. They’d be moderate Republicans, of the sort that voters keep rejecting in favor of ever more extreme MAGA candidates. The center isn’t coming back. This country is more polarized than it’s ever been. We can’t even agree on a common set of facts or beliefs anymore. This isn’t a Democrat problem. It’s a voter problem. They are the ones responsible for waking up and realizing the GOP’s smash and destroy mission isn’t making their lives better, just as a drug addict is responsible for getting clean. Until they hit rock bottom, everything their friends and family say will get perceived as moralistic nagging. That seems to be your main peeve with Democrats, that they should get off their moral high horse, stop nagging, and… what, start enabling? |
+1000 The problem isn’t with what Democrats stand for. It’s that the American voters have chosen authoritarianism. If the price to pay to win elections is becoming a second rightist party, screw it - the country is already lost. |
You sound like a spoiled child asserting nothing is ever your fault, ever, and you are always, always right. The voters are leaving you behind, as one should treat spoiled brats. |
I think the Democratic Party is in great shape and is heading in the right direction. Time will prove that their ideas and beliefs are, in fact, correct from a literal, religious and moral standpoint. They are the Enlightened ones, and we should also fully support them and their policies. |
You need votes from people you despise. You are incapable of empathizing with them. Good luck with that! |
Your party is just like you—it knows everything except how to win elections. |
PP response was mature and thoughtful. Your response: Wah! Spoiled brat! Childish! Not exactly a mic drop there, pal. |
It wasn’t thoughtful. It was a temper tantrum. |
