Some Dems are not so happy about Biden move on Space Command. |
|
They ignore the supreme court in marginalizing certain people's vote. Their elected officials are undermining the US military. Have a nice day. |
Yeah, the one Democrat who Alabama allows to represent it in Congress while breaking the law because there should be two. |
one dem, who certainly would have benefited from a more educated and uprwardly mobile voter base in the state. Oh well That said, no one is suggesting officially that the decision was made because of Tuberville. The reality is that NORAD and the Air Force Academy are in Colorado, so it makes sense. |
You do know why Huntsville was selected, don't you? Space Center ring a bell? Rockets, etc. Werner von Bran? Space camp? |
Not gonna happen. COLORADO FOR THE WIN. |
Trump overruled the military and decided unilaterally on his way out the door to put it in Alabama to punish Colorado for voting out all of its Republicans, to reward Mo Brooks whose district it was, and get the rest of the Alabama Republicans on his side in the January 6 impeachment. |

+1 Think of it as a hold on Alabama’s promotion to Space Command headquarters, Coach. |
Yes, fully aware. But that it also makes sense for space and air command to be in the same location. Huntsville makes some sense, Colorado makes more sense. It wasn't politics that drove this decision, though the optics against Tuberville are sort of humorous. |
“Space force - I sent to Alabama,” Trump said via a telephone interview today on an Alabama-based syndicated radio show. Despite saying Space Force, he was referring to Space Command. “I hope you know that. (They) said they were looking for a home and I single-handedly said ‘let’s go to Alabama. They wanted it. I said let’s go to Alabama. I love Alabama.” https://www.al.com/news/2021/08/trump-on-space-command-move-i-single-handedly-said-lets-go-to-alabama.html |
It's hard to argue with that sort of reasoning |
“Pentagon leaders ultimately presented the criteria chart recommending Colorado Springs, not Huntsville, to the White House on 1/11/21.” https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/your-air-force/2022/05/11/no-foul-play-in-moving-space-command-to-alabama-pentagon-watchdog-says/ |
