PP forgot to mention that Alabama’s horrible public school problem has been the main deterrent to getting companies to commit. And that one of the biggest companies is Korean where employees are just happy to be in America- much like all their rural doctors. Even military often live apart for Alabama assignments because the schools are so bad. One base has to offer its own school to give families incentive to go.
