I stand corrected. I did not see their commitments listed on the teams iwlca page when I looked but do now see it on the Pride Instagram.
Congratulations to them! |
This will be the last year anyone talks about Pride recruiting classes. |
| I disagree the 26 team is doing well and could have similar results. |
Agreed. Pride 26 has a few exceptional players. |
| This is why you do Capital Orange…it’s organized. Pride is like chose your own adventure daily. Cap Orange. Show up. Put the work in. No drama as far an organization goes. |
| Pride needs to die already. |
| This thread needs to die. Take it to the “Pride next year” thread. Surely after 18 pages, enough information has been shared on this topic. |
Then where would Capital get all it’s players? |
| Does ever cut girls between seasons? |
Yes. Especially on orange. Expect some slight shifting between the top half of orange/bottom of blue and then the bottom of orange and other clubs. |
. BLC, remember they have a partnership. Stars will still send their best players to Capital. |
| About how many kids tryout again after 9th grade summer- going into 10th? 10 or like 25 or 50? |
| 25-30 |
I think people are assuming Pride is going somewhere because the owner has moved. But Pride does a really effective job of recruiting the youngest girls out to their camps, clinics, developmental summer teams, etc. And they make it fun, with youthful coaches. The young girls gey excited to be part of the organization. It's quite a business tactic. Pride is not going anywhere as long as that system in place. Around NOVA, most of the young girls have Pride as their first choice club, because they are already familiar with the team. Sorry to those wishing that weren't the case. |
Please be correct. It was painful to watch some of the play this weekend. I understand the politics of it all, but you diminish the value of the experience when favors are handed out.
