Bullis- 4: Princeton, Harvard, brown, tufts.

Bullis doesn't have a kid on its current roster committed to Brown. He spent 6 years at Bullis and is now doing a PG year at Deerfield, then going to Brown in the Fall of 2022.

Damn. That’s some serious parent rigging of the system. Will this kid legally be able to host a kegger when he scores his first college goal?

Probably! Of course, he’s probably already accustomed to keggers if it took him 6 years at Bullis plus a PG year to make grades for AI.

Is this a joke?

I often read about families doing something similar in AU hoops and chasing a full D1 hoops scholarship... but for lacrosse, really?

This must be a first for the IAC?

A student athlete playing at 3 different teams within in 6 team HS conference in a span of 4 years?

I’m surprised GP would even admit him given the amount of success the program had last season

It’s confirmed and not a joke buddy.

3 IAC schools in a span of 5 years…. You do the math

You all realize Landon is not just a high school, right? It’s a lower school, middle school, and high school.

Lol

Does FCPS not require kids to redshirt?

This wouldn't surprise me one bit if the player were to transfer for one season at his local public school. The player only has one year of eligibility for athletic participation in the IAC. He played his freshman season at Landon, then transferred to Episcopal where he re-classified and played his freshman season again and his sophomore season.

The reclass issue in the IAC is a function of Maryland state rules: kids can only play four years of a high school sport, JV or Varsity, full stop. That's why reclasses are more commonly seen going to Virginia schools - they can play that fifth year.

So if the kid was at Landon in 2019, EHS in 2020/21, he only has one more year of high school lacrosse eligibility in the state of Maryland - it doesn't matter if he plays at EHS, Prep, Landon, Yorktown, or any other high school.

What’s the big deal, the kid will just sit out this year at Prep and then play his senior year.

Right?! I agree, he’ll still have club junior year summer. Besides the kid probably has offers piling up just waiting for September 1st.

All the haters need to stop. First of all, you are talking about a child. Second, you make up lies and spew hate when you have no idea what you are talking about. Shame on all of you. I don’t even know this kid, but took 5 mins to do a little search and guess what, he played for Team USA U15 in 2019/2020. That makes him age appropriate for a 2023. You can also see old highlight videos for 2019 and 2020. He has been a 2023 for all those years. He plays on the 2022 Hawks which means he plays up, some really good kids do that. Did he repeat a grade at some point in lower school, who knows and who cares. Lots of kids repeat for lots of reasons. You all make it sound like he’s about to be 19 as a Junior, which he’s not. He spent his first two high school years (freshman and Sophomore) at Episcopal and is coming to Prep for Junior and Senior. No funny business there, but it certainly is nice of you to bash a minor and make up fake news about them. Shame on you!

He spent his freshman year at Landon and then reclassified at Episcopal where he completed his freshman and sophomore years.

If you did some detective work, you would have been able to uncover this.

He has one year left of HS athletic ability in the state of Maryland - I’m sure the family took this into consideration when deciding to transfer to GP.

I’m not bashing anyone but stating the facts.

The kid is extremely talented. Wherever he goes I wish him well.

5 mins of detective work doesn’t necessarily uncover this, especially when he played U15 in 2019-2020. Get off your high horse. So he reclassified one year. Big deal, you know how many kids repeat a year?!. Leave the kid alone and stop hating on him, you’re just showing your jealousy for his success and lack of class picking on a child.

And BTW, Episcopal is in VA so not a Maryland school and 2020 wasn’t much of a year (no IAC league games), so my guess is he will be just fine playing two years for Prep. And if not, then he goes to another school for his senior year, sounds like he’s so good anyone would be happy to have him. Either way, you do you and let him do what he chooses to do. Not really any of your business.

Don’t know the kid, but have certainly come to know the type of parent who comes to this board to bash and whine about individual kids for a slew of different reasons, basically outing kids by description rather than by name. Petty and almost vindictive in trying to tear down other kids. Probably disappointed their own kid didn’t make the big time and is lashing out and looking for excuses like holdbacks.

The parents that come to this board to take anonymous shots at 17 year old boys really are shamefully weak of character, and are making zero contribution to the conversation other than exposing their own inadequacies.
