Rumors are now circulating that Dog captured him!

Now let's wait and see if that is true.

Where’d you see that? I just checked his Twitter page and just see the video of him about to go out in the water.

NP

A sheriff helicopter headed out to the island after Dog.

Then the police asked a news company to pull a story until they update them.

Then the police scanner went quiet. Not staticky, completely quiet.

Now everyone is waiting

Wait...you're telling me Dog showed up a WEEK AGO and suddenly got the guy? Maybe he should be running the state police for three districts and not whoever the idiots are now.

Is there actually a warrant out for Brian? Under what authority would Dog be apprehending him?

Well murder rings a bell…

That’s not a warrant for arrest based on a murder charge. But more to the point - Dog is a private citizen? What authority does he have to effect an arrest?

Do you not know what a bounty hunter is? Oh dear sweet one...

Oh dear sweet one a bounty hunter can only “hunt” a person if somebody skips on a “bond”. This is not the case, nobody posted bond, so Dog is not working as a bounty hunter.

No, a bounty hunter can also try to catch a criminal for the reward money (aka bounty). Doesn’t have to be a bond. You’re thinking of a bail bondsman.

Hence the name 'Dog the Bounty Hunter'. That kid is worth about $30,000 in pure cash capture dead or alive at this point. Plus whatever reward fees the community was offering.

See, this is the kind of comment that disgusts me. "Capture dead or alive" -- wtf. There is absolutely no authority or justification for killing him. Let the FBI arrest him and let him be tried in court.

If you, or his parents, want him arrested and coddled maybe you should walk his truant behind into a local police station.

Its $30K for the bounty and $170K from the community apparently. Lots of unscrupulous hunters - bounty and otherwise - are after that cash.

So basically it’s a lynch mob. Got it. I didn’t realize that abiding by the rule of law was “coddling.” Thanks for clearing that up.

How is a) not reporting a dead body and/or murder victim to the authorities and b) driving your son in a remote area with a camper - abiding by the rule of law?

That's actually breaking the law. The parents can be charged with obstruction of justice (interfering with a police investigation), concealing human remains, and aiding a fugitive.

All third degree felonies.

Apparently Dog has now hired a plane to fly a banner over the area where BDL (Brian Dirty Laundrie) is thought to be hiding.

It says: "Aloha Brian Laundrie -Dog"

I'm PP who posted above - it's likely fake.

A Google search shows Florida law allows citizens arrests.

Dorsey v. U.S. case?

"His arrest though without a warrant, and by persons who were not arresting officers, was lawful. There being no federal statute on the subject, the arrest in Florida for a federal offense is governed by Florida law. United States v. DiRe, 332 US 581, 68 S.Ct. 222, 92 L.Ed. 210. The Florida law is the common law, as modified by statute. The common law authorizes a private person also to arrest for a felony committed in his presence; or if a felony has been committed, and he has probable cause to believe and does believe the arrested person to be guilty. He can justify his not getting a warrant, though he had the opportunity, by proving that arrested person was actually guilty. 4 Am.Jur., Arrest, 35, 36, 37; C.J.S., Arrest sec. 8. See also US v. Gowen, 40 F.2d 593 (CA2), and Brady v. US, 300 F. 540, 541 (CA6)."

Now a neighbor has been charged with battery after he shoved a protester who went on to his lawn. That is just so wrong. Aren't there any laws or noise ordinances to protect the neighbors?

The neighbors need to turn on their sprinkler systems, run them all day on low, and get their lawns soaking wet.

If they spray the neighbors with a hose, would that be considered battery? If the answer is no, hire a teenager to man the hose.

^^Wait, I didn't mean the neighbors, I mean the people who are trespassing on the neighbors' property.

Maybe Mark Rober can create something similar to his glitter bombs. Maybe a really noxious odor to drive protesters away.

Only weird to the ignorant, and you appear ignorant of bounty hunting tactics.

If Dog actually did this, it is likely designed to put “heat” or pressure on BL in the hope that he will make mistakes, feel more desperate, etc.

Dog has likely hit a “dead end” in his search, and Brian is safe (for the moment) in his hiring place. Dog is trying to flush him out (which is what hunting dogs do).
