What executive leadership or domestic policy experience does she have? ![]() |
Isn't Whitmer highly disliked in her own state right now? |
Only by a vocal minority of MAGAers. Last time I checked her approval rating remained high, in the 60s. |
+1. |
I think if Whitmer gets a few more years in the Gov mansion, she will be a great candidate. I can see her in 2024 or 2028, shes only 48. |
+1 She's very talented. |
Kos is supporting Karen Bass for VP.
That won't go unheeded - he represents an influential bloc in the party |
Only because she's a true progressive who wouldn't bring the electability problems Warren would. I'm a fan of Bass and think she'd be a strong pick, but the calculus is tricker than that. |
I find it fascinating she's been endorsed by both George Will and Dolores Huerta. She triangulates well between establishment and progressive Dems and would be a great governing partner. The calculus will be her chemistry with Joe and her polling in swing states. Which I think could be tough to predict given her lack of national fame at present. I can't imagine she wouldn't help boost AA turnout though. Her entire career speaks to their community and concerns. |
Liker her, or not, it's Kamala. Take a look at what she's been up to the last couple of weeks. Done deal. |

Bass or Duckworth according to this. Not sure I believe it. |
Not happening. Too many negatives. |
Your flooding this thread with this same sentiment won't make your perspective more credible. |
Karen Bass and Duckworth also allow the Dems to be more resilient by having a real contested primary in 2024.
There will be a lot of animosity if whoever the Vp pick is coronated in 2024 like 16/hrc. Bass and duckworth wouldn’t be able to block out challengers like Harris would. M |
This is an interesting perspective, I havent thought of it that way. Would you also include Susan Rice on that list? |
