What a douche. If Maret feels so unsafe being around public school people at Jelleff, they should just cancel their backroom deal and leave Jelleff’s public park to the public. |
Apparently, she never learned to recognize the feeling of guilt and mistakes it for fear. |
Are the Maret parents trying to compare themselves to Trump supporters? The comparison is quite apt, albeit not a particularly flattering one...

How come no one has complained about the British School's buses which seem to use Jelleff as their private parking lot? And the British School is a for-profit school, not a 501c3 like Maret. |

The lawn in front of the Maret estate house is part of a national register historically-protected landmark. DC's Historic Preservation Board wouldn't let Maret convert it into a field even if Maret wanted to do it. |
People who might otherwise use that parking lot have a right to complain. The public school kids who could use the field aren't pressed for parking, they can walk to the field from school. |
They could do a lot of things to the grounds as long as they are not building structures like buildings. But it is convenient for them to say they can’t do anything (despite having 1 field and expansive parking onsite). |
Why doesn’t Maret dig up that parking lot, bury it and build a field on top? Sidwell did it. No vision at Maret, I guess. Same staid, hide-bound and insular institution it has always been. Oh well. |
+1. Because it’s far more convenient to have Maret parents Jack Evans and the Abdos grease the wheels of DC government so they can pay just 95k/year to use a public field than to actually invest in its own infrastructure as a good private school would do. |
You really want to blame everyone but Maret, don't you? |
+1 Why would Maret bother paying money for any infrastructure when they could get the Dc taxpayer to do it for them? |
The “WTU” teachers? What the hell are you trying to say? |
