Any word on the new NVSL rules for the summer?

I kind of get why All Star Relays were cancelled - it is HUGE massive event. Let's hope relay carnival and divisionals are still on the table.

Sure. But our state has no distancing or crowd guidelines so what’s the reasoning? They could have required masks during certain times during these events.

I think they are looking at the data and how low the cases are plus kids are already playing outside, swim and other sports, without masks.

Nope, middle of the pack! We have a few relay teams that sneak in each year and it is very exciting for them.

Div 9 parent with kids who have never and will never be in all star relays. They still should go on.

Their reasoning isn't consistent. We can have meets with unvaccinated kids. But not those meets? We've been to regular All Stars and the crowd ON DECK and the mix of swimmers can be pretty controlled. Every team can stick together and follow their own rules as they have had all season. The governor has released us of restrictions.

Some of the reps suggested having it but a much different format. It could be done by age group over multiple pools, etc. to keep the numbers down.
