I have heard from several that they are redoing them, but then it was mentioned that they were going to require everyone to wear masks still. Is this true? First, people can show they are vaccinated, second we are outdoors, so even if you said kids don't have to wear masks just keep a few feet a part that would be fine as well. |
| Our nvsl team announced yesterday that mask wearing won’t be enforced at our pool. They didn’t specifically mention meets at other pools, but they follow nvsl rules as required and won’t be requiring masks at all. All self enforcement as desired. |
| Right now, even with the Governor's changes, NVSL is requiring everyone at A meets to wear masks... |
That is just crazy! Especially with pools not requiring it so these kids are together and practicing all week without them. |
Where did you see this? We haven’t received a new update. |
Well that should create an additional challenge to recruit officials.... |
Am I missing the update? |
Per another thread an update is expected this week (although someone else said that team reps will be updated June 2). In any case, I don’t think you’re missing anything. |
| Our reps said Dive isn’t required to wear masks but swim is.... |
NVSL Swim hasn’t sent out the new guidance that I know of. |
During A meets, or in general? Our swim team is not enforcing mask wearing in general (after tomorrow) but they haven’t yet addressed A meets, which would be under the purview of the NVSL. |
Right now my friend on the Board said all officials on deck will have to wear masks for A meets. WTF. Apparently there are some crazies making the calls. We are not planning on doing that for B meets. This will make A meets a disaster. |
That is what we are being told as well. We are hoping that the pools push back. We an ask to show proof of vaccination and if they don't want to then they can wear a mask. Problem solved. |
Yeah because that isn't going to lead to any conflicts on the pool deck....

Yep. It’s going to be hard to get timers and officials. Why would someone time in a mask when they can just watch maskless. |
