Was the Ballou HS fully vaccinated? I am an ES teacher with FCPS and I'm due to get my second dose sometime early next week. My students return March 16th. I think it's time and I have no problem with it. I'm ready. There will always be a virus. There will always be mutations. |
LOL you must not know too many smart kids at any school to think they hate school. Least of all TJ students. -not a TJ parent |
Please do actual research on the vaccines. They are still very effective against the mutations, and very likely decrease transmission. This is recent data from Israel after much of their population was vaccinated. |
No high school is fully vaccinated because high school students don't qualify to be vaccinated. I am surprised you're asking a question like that. So of course Ballou was not fully vaccinated. I've bolded the most salient point above for you to reflect on. |
Sorry. My question should have read, "Was the Ballou HS teacher fully vaccinated?" |
I suggest you take your own advice. They are not "very effective" against anything yet because nothing has been proven. And none of the vaccines have any efficacy against the South African mutation. |
She was an adult education teacher. Although I think you may have misunderstood the question. You've also misunderstood science. |
Yes, they are and yes, they have. |
??? It doesn't matter. Since they don't know what strain she had, and none of the vaccines are effective against all the strains, it literally doesn't matter if she was vaccinated or not because she is still dead. |
Well, okey dokey then. We'll just take you at your word. I suppose you have a bridge to sell, too. Righto. Just tell me where to send the check and I'll get it out asap. Sheesh. |
DP. It is important to know if she was fully vaccinated. Not for you, maybe, but for rational people. The mRNA vaccines, the only ones currently available in this country, are very effective against all the new variants. And she didn't get covid from children because her students were adults. |
Thanks. I like bridges. I also like science and follow the vaccine news closely. You should try it. |
It does matter. Did she contract the virus while at school? If she had been fully vaccinated it is very highly unlikely that she would have died from complications due to Covid. We are now being vaccinated. Cite a source that says none of the vaccines are effective against all the strains. Everything I have read says that while some vaccines may have their efficacy reduced they remain effective against new strains. |
My God, isn’t it obvious? They like DL because it’s easier to cheat! |
DP https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/11/pfizer-vaccine-strong-response-new-covid-variants People who have received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine have been found to have strong T-cell responses against the Kent and South African variants of Covid, suggesting that the vaccine will continue to protect against serious disease in the coming months. In the first study to test immune responses against the variants circulating in populations, researchers found that although antibody responses against the new variants were blunted, they may still be high enough to protect most people from becoming infected, after a second dose of vaccine has been given. |
