2021 DMV Girls Outlook

BI lost to Collegiate in OT. From what I hear Collegiate dominated on the draw and had some more dynamic offensive players. Seems like BI may have some younger talent but this is the first year in a while that they don’t have any legit UA AAs in the senior class.

I don't have a dog in the D1 fight but watched this game, and I think it was a matter of BI getting outworked and out coached. While they made some adjustments with some girls that weren't playing well they seemed to leave other girls out there that weren't playing well and making plays. He should have called a timeout on the last clear that resulted in the game winning goal, or for that matter when the goalie turned it over which lead to the game tying goal. BI wasn't stacked like in years past by any means but the Collegiate coaches absolutely did more with less.

Stone Ridge just beat Visi twice by a few goals each time.

Today? What was the score?

FALSE. You don't have a dog in the fight? Lame. Two seniors at BI are great players, one for certain s on the UA AA watch list. She's been hobbled all spring.

Cougars played great. BI played great. Came down to a couple turnovers either way. Outcoached? You are a moron. You know nothing, apparently. Down by three? that 5-0 run was just luck. right, no adjustments at all. Go back to your cave troll and go stir some s up on another thread.

SSSAS best team at beginning of the season, best team at the end. BI played above their weight all year. As a PP said, this was a crazy season. These teams played their entire season in the course of under 30 days. Glad they got to play but looking forward to getting back to normal in 22.

That's pretty brave to say as SSSAS heads into a doubleheader with Stone Ridge!

Sorry, meant in relation to VA schools! Mea Culpa. SR, GC, GV, all legit and great teams this year! I am not one of these trolls and not trying to stir s up.

Yesterday 15-11 SR wins and I forget today but I am pretty sure it was SR by 3. Both teams are excellent but SR looked to be the better team throughout. Excited for the SR SSSA match up. Should be a good one!

In N.Va you are basically looking at SSSAS, BI, Langley, and Dominion.

Langley and Dominion are not in the conversation. Give me a break Dominion booster.

BI did not play above their weight, they beat nobody that they shouldn’t have and beat a couple teams they should have pounded by just a few goals - that is not playing above your weight. The one outlier was the visi game but I think that was a bit of a fluke...and they lost. You are right they do have one great senior who has been hobbled, but she’s still been their best player.

Yea, someone got into the liquor a bit early. Public schools are just not even in the conversation in VA.

For the PP who seems to have lost sleep over a previous post, I did not interpret the OP post the same way. I think the intent was simply noting those were the top teams in their opinion. No reference was made the publics would beat SR, Visi, SSSAS. The list was simply the top Nova has today. If you feel differently simply share your opinion on who you would add to the list. Remember the OP referenced Nova only.

Langley and Dominion probably couldn’t even beat O’Connell. The point was that public schools cannot compete with private, even a state champion public school. To think otherwise is delusional (see Riverside v. GZ)

Would Langley and Dominion beat top private schools like SR, GV, SSSAS, most likely not. Would they beat middle tier and cellar dwellar private schools, definitely. As an example ask O'Connel and PVI how Fall Brawl turned out for them. Fall Brawl is not full field, but it's the one event they get to compete together, disproving your point. Getting back to the OPs point who from Nova would you put in front of these two schools.

Fall Brawl should never be anyone's benchmark for a team's talent.
