But, if one of my kids was threatened and I had already lost my house to pay my own legal fees, I'm not sure that I would be able to not lie to protect my child from a false prosecution. This came from Mueller's group--not the FBI. In fact, the FBI initially said that they did not think he lied. This all changed with Mueller.

Many say that Flynn was guilty of all sorts of egregious crimes. If this is true, he should have been charged with those crimes. Do you not think Mueller's group would have done so?

And Trump seems to believe he needs the same people on his election team that he had in 2016 to win, so Flynn will come work for his campaign.

p.s. I'd love to know where PP gets his information. We all know that Mueller group would have charged him with the highest crime possible. Lying was the best they could do, and they even messed that up with not disclosing the deal in the plea.

They had the transcript with the call to Kislyak. They didn't need to ask Flynn what was said. Flynn knew this.

Seems like the FBI was LOOKING for a process crime. And, the notes kind of confirm that.

When Pence, Priebus, Spicer all repeated his lie publicly, that was a problem. Indeed, he got fired for it.

There was more going on than just the Logan Act violation and his cover-up, but that was the immediate issue.

Exactly. Call him up, send a couple of guys over (according to Comey), don't tell him what they wanted to talk to him about (according to Comey), tell him he doesn't need counsel, then grill him on details of phone calls/meetings and try to trip him up.
