I love it. The article says that now that Flynn has been pardoned he can be compelled to testify in this case. The defendant and Flynn were conspiring to evict a Turkish cleric to have him killed. Such an American hero, Michael Q Flynn. |
I think they are hoping his testimony helps defendant. An attorney for Rafiekian said at oral argument in December that he could “potentially” call Flynn as a witness at a new trial “now that he has been pardoned.” Before the pardon, defense attorney James Tysse said, Flynn “presumably” would have invoked his own Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. |
